Hi!
I noticed that the number of votes and the word votes don't have a space between them. Is this already reported?
With enough number of eyes, all bugs are shallow? Is that correct?

1:45 AM
also the info about the recent activity of a post.

@for-the-love-of-soupless no repro on Chrome 105, Windows 10, so we probably need more details

oh. i forgot
this is ubuntu, and quite an old version of chrome. probably the reason why

yeah, there's no guarantee for bug fixes on older browser versions

3 hours later…
4:26 AM
also "Truth" is still up

it's funny if you think hard enough
the diy answer

@for-the-love-of-soupless Really? I can't imagine why an abusive statement (as per the Code of Conduct) could be seen as funny under any circumstances.

That's why I said "if you think hard enough" since it really isn't funny.
Or maybe I just think it is funny. But in the end, it is a serious matter.

So a rather pointless comment then.

5:28 AM
Double Smokey again
Wonder if it also cost double.
!!/price

@ShadowTheKidWizard No such command 'price'.

@for-the-love-of-soupless I'm SmokeDetector, a bot that detects spam and offensive posts on the network and posts alerts to chat. A command list is available here.

5:28 AM
@ShadowTheKidWizard Running since 05:26:02 UTC (2 minutes, 48 seconds)

oh so just one time blip with the above report?
Or did single instance posted two same reports in same time? @tripleee what you think?

@for-the-love-of-soupless It's Tim Stone's fault.

@for-the-love-of-soupless on the contrary. It's funny if you let your mind think as a kid, kids find words like "poo" funny, and later as teenagers "worse" words once they learn about them and their meaning. :D

Hi, should I report the save button being too close to the bounty?

5:34 AM
@DavidPostill most idle chat in Tavern, and in general, is pointless if you think about it. :)
@DialFrost how long since your last MBR? (Minor Bug Report)
Minor bugs should be reported, but not flooded into the front page, there's some thin line.

@ShadowTheKidWizard Long time

Oh wait, @Dial if you mean bug in the new Saves feature then just post this as answer to the announcement. No limit for minor bugs there.

Announcement? Ah mka6
Uh it's not a bug
Just a design issue

Design issue is also a bug, in the design.
Can be minor, it's still a bug.

Oh lol

5:38 AM
What's mka6?
:(

I meant mkay lol whoops
@ShadowTheKidWizard new post or announcement

@DialFrost if it's about Saves, in the announcement. I wasn't able to reproduce anything like you said so you really better add screenshots and mention what device/OS/browser you're using.
The bounty dialog is far from the Save button.

@ShadowTheKidWizard Design is a bug. The complete mess.

@rene talking like true designer! :D
And this reminds me, I have to go design myself a breakfast, it's 8:40 already.

@ShadowTheKidWizard nonono
I meant the awarded bounty number below the saves in an answer

5:43 AM
ohh OK
Still, better include screenshot with FHRC.

@DialFrost Free Hand Red Circle
Marking where the bug is exactly on a screenshot.
Anyway, I can't see any problem. The spacing is just fine, same as spacing between other elements.

Maybe should have asked for the screenshot here first, then I'd advise not to post it. @Dial

Mkay deleting now

5:48 AM
Send "hi" to Kay

But I cant post an image here

I don't see why not: i.stack.imgur.com/6P3LO.jpg

No like, I'm on mobile
Oh I guess I can post the image in an answer before copying the link

@DialFrost yep. That is what I always do. I never use the chat image uploader.

Quick question, how do I add spaces in an equation?
I saw it before on meta but I can't find it again

6:03 AM
that's probably in math meta
3772
Q: MathJax basic tutorial and quick reference

MJD(Deutsch: MathJax: LaTeX Basic Tutorial und Referenz) To see how any formula was written in any question or answer, including this one, right-click on the expression and choose "Show Math As > TeX Commands". (When you do this, the '$' will not display. Make sure you add these: see the next point...

@for-the-love-of-soupless Yup, but I can't find the space rule inside that link

6:44 AM
@tripleee f
Very odd case, but now the answer looks fine.
And it was never rude, BTW.
nonsense trolling can be red flagged, but it's not rude, just abuse the privilege of answering.

7:15 AM
quick question
why does \ce{} not work on some sites?

7:26 AM
@DialFrost MathJax extensions

thx
but the list shows that astronomy is on there
when I tried it it didn't work!

7:46 AM
Hmm, okay. Then I don't know. Sorry. Maybe their meta has a bug report on that?
@DialFrost but it doesn't have the (with mhchem extension) addition.
\ce{} should work on Biology.se
Because (with mhchem extension) refers to docs.mathjax.org/en/latest/input/tex/extensions/mhchem.html

@curious right now I can't really try anything local that depends on GPU, and the few local apps that allow for CPU use....
EXTREMELY SLOW
that said... let me check something...
@curious these two are the ones I seem more mentioned Automatic1111 and CMDR2

8:02 AM
@ShadowTheKidWizard yeah, looks like they originally posted some junk as a placeholder and then later updated it with a real answer
@tripleee still up

4 hours later…
Yep. I have opinions. First see, then believe :P

11:50 AM
As to marking the messages as unread deliberately, that's totally fine and also one of the use cases we were thinking of. As to keeping the indicator on or turning it off, I see what you mean, we actually had a discussion about it with some people being for keeping it on and some for showing only new messages count. At this moment we chose to keep it on, but the plan is to listen to the community and afterwards choose the option that fits you best. — marrados 1 min ago
Aaand that means I'm gonna hate it (until it changes, if ever).

12:11 PM
@SPArcheon It is much more slow, like a little over 4 minutes per image but I've heard CPU could be like 45 minutes.
@SPArcheon Granted, with a good prompt, I still think it's worth dedicating 45 minutes per image if you have a machine you're not using
@SPArcheon CMDR gives me a 404 but Automatic 1111 is what I've been using. I've seen two others mentioned as well but can't recall of the top of my head

12:36 PM
@curious cut&paste, an "I" was lost...

1:10 PM
@tripleee yeah, see comments.

@Feeds Missed your Onebox though

2 hours later…

@MetaAndrewT. We need a place where we can catch up with all the oneboxes

5:08 PM
On a bus because the train line is shut

5:23 PM
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog why is the train shut down?
@Feeds so far not a single blog post without some kind of bug. That's an achievement, I must admit.
Usually those are [OBJ] characters, now it's just huge blank gaps throughout the whole page.

6:04 PM
TL;DR: it's a bit difficult to operate a train line next to the ocean because of waves

@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog oh, bummer. Guess the buses are over crowded? Not a pleasant experience.

7:10 PM
@ShadowTheKidWizard Erm your "huge blank gaps" are embedded YouTube videos so no gaps here. The problem is your end.

7:30 PM
@DavidPostill see my bug report, it's explained there. TL;DR: cookies.
Also, lack of fallback text is a bug on its own, it's something trivial.

3 hours later…
10:19 PM
@SPArcheon I found another link to CMDR2 and it works on my laptop, faster than on my gaming machine... thanks!!
