@JourneymanGeek @Tinkeringbell this user is most likely back with a new account, can you take a look and nuke? (while extending the suspension period on the main)
there's a back end called Halflife which I have been toying with which should perhaps learn to take over some of the manual chores, but don't hold your breath
Hey people! I noticed that a question was closed as it needed details/clarity. After some edits by the OP, I realised that the question is a duplicate of some other question. Now, what should I do? Is reopening the question and then marking it as duplicate the right thing to do?
If you can singlehandedly do this, reopening and reclosing is fine. If you can't, you have two options: Vote to reopen with a comment (which runs a pretty big risk of users voting to leave closed anyways), use the site's meta to try and get some support for doing this (you will still need multiple users to carry out the actions), or (and I think this is your best bet) raise a mod-flag, with reasons why the post is a good sign post and deserves a moderator's attention to fix this.
Ah. While MSE is in some sense its own meta site too (for like tag burnination requests and such), I don't think discussing questions on MSE on MSE is... a good thing to start.
So that still leaves you two options, and you already picked one.
@ShadowTheKidWizard well, even this post is about the same issue
> I am able to enter the question window of any Stack Exchange site, draft it up, pick tags, and when I try to hit "Post your question", the button simply does not actually execute its function. It changes color as if it is being clicked, but it doesn't do anything, and I don't receive the right bar notice "Step 2: Review your question"and the button "Post your question" never appears preventing the submission of questions on all the SE sites.
