@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog What I found in the FAQ answer is significantly more restrictive than what I read your statement to mean. The FAQ says that close-votes for close-as-dup with the now-closed question as the dup-target are invalidated to prevent circular closure. That I was already aware of. I thought you were saying that all of the dup-target's close-votes were invalidated (i.e. including those for non-dup reasons and with different dup-targets).

I'd expect an inverse correlation between experience and "feeling a part of the community". Results are probably wrong.

If any employees are around, I'm having trouble accessing profiles belonging to new users on Stack Overflow

@AndrewMyers I can't look at your profile Something bad happened

Not just new users, then, nor even Stack Overflow specific

Perhaps only on MSO, MSE and SO.

... that explains why I can't open this profile on Anime.SE too
(okay, not really explain, but same symptom)

It's network wide

4:00 AM
apparently now it affects all users, but only for "profile" tab. Still can access if directly accessing the "activity" tab (add ?tab=topactivity)
and.... it should be fixed now? looks like intermittent issue

4:23 AM
User pages are down?

4:41 AM
@Catija yes
Activity page is working.
And something is happening on Area 51 too.

I tweeted at StackStatus but I doubt that anyone's watching it right now.

Q: User profile pages seem to be failing but not the activity tab

CatijaI can not currently visit user profile pages on any site I've tested. Activity pages work just fine. Visiting anyone else's profile link fails since links default to the profile tab unless you're looking at your own page or you're on a site you moderate but if you force the page URL to the activ...

It's network wide

:/ I guess I should read up... why didn't anyone write it up?

I asked about Area 51 though
It is about responsive design.

Yeah, there are a bunch of errors being caused by them mucking with the top bar parameters and not excluding SE.com and area 51 from the changes, I think.

5:13 AM
And now it seems to be fixed...

At least the redirect to the activity tab on one's own user profile works

When does it turn to red? ^

[mod-tag:status-completed] ?
Hmmmm... uh... [status-tag:status-completed] ?
... does that even work in chat?

According to this, yes.

That's the wrong red.

. No words before and after it

Presumably, it has to be the only content of the chat message.

Still the wrong color.

It uses the same maroon color formerly used on MSE (prior to the MSO-MSE split), and still used today on Meta Super User
@Catija Mod-only tags used to be that color.

I like color of red in the questions

5:27 AM
That color is still used on Meta Super User and Meta Server Fault.

It's about the same color as the direct reply highlighting.

@Catija Speaking of Easter eggs, did you try the Easter Eggs user script for chat?

There is something unusual on Top Bar of SU too. A minor bug.
I think all the bug reports about Top bar will get [status-norepro] soon. Should I report them or not?

5:49 AM
status-waffles
I don't even know which one is by-design or bug...

6:46 AM
@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog sorry, still don't think it should be reopened. Others can still do it though, as in any other case. :)

7:04 AM
@ShadowWizard Why not? The part of that question that's duplicated in the target has been edited out.

7:21 AM
@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog "reviews I can't do" and "reviews I already handled" are the same idea. Nothing can change that.
I don't think we should start new request for every small aspect of a broader feature.

This request is broad, covering all possible cases, except for the one in Yvette's question. (If her question weren't tagged as planned, I'd have closed her question as a duplicate of the broader question.)

cough which is why overzealous dupe-closures on meta are bad ;p

@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog usually I would agree, but the fact @Yve's request is both popular and got official response makes it the best "root" request for any similar requests in the future.

@NogShine The one where its too narrow?
well narrow compared to other sites

@ShadowWizard What gives you the authority to claim that? Have you looked at the code and figured out that fixing Yvette's issue will also fix the other issues outlined in the other post?
If it indeed does, SE employees can close it as a dupe.

7:36 AM
@SmokeDetector darn... this is not a plagiarized answer, but ended with spam... If I were a regular, I'd remove that link... I don't know

@JourneymanGeek The question in question is this: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/310798/…
You can vote to reopen if you wish

@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog slightly more interested in broader trends and influencing people too ;p

Your actions on individual posts can set precedents

heh, maybe?
but looking at Joe's answer, I kinda get the dupyeness too
also there's a broader and even older issue at play
that its too 'expensive' to render per user indicators

If else, edit Yvette's question to be more general and rollback the duped to the original "review banned"

7:40 AM
I don't really like to do that either.

@SomewhatMemorableName Can't roll it back, it's in a different question

So, broader idea I have - meta is one part helpdesk. Closing stuff "too quickly" kinda weakens that aspect of it.

The requests aren't the same. It's not a duplicate.
@JourneymanGeek I'm trying to get it reopened here

yup
And I'm a bit amused since I've had this same conversations with your chaos emerald requests before.

How often do you see those these days? Search.

7:43 AM
As of current, Joe's answer is applicable to all request regarding review indicator

Often enough that I'm busting your ass for it. I did throw it the reopen vote.

Compared to before?

7:58 AM
@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog my brain gives me the authority to think. Maybe I should have added "in my opinion" there.
You can disagree, all good. :)
@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog they rarely do it.

@ShadowWizard Yeah, your statement up there seemed like you were trying to claim you were the ultimate authority about it and knew it

@SomewhatMemorableName exactly my point.

@ShadowWizard Shog does it.

@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog hehe, well, I'm not.
@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog maybe, we should not count on it.

Quick trick: if you're in bed and chatting on mobile, and have an always-on desktop computer in your room, simply pull up the chat on the computer, and then it will make the ping sounds so you're notified when you're doing something else on your mobile device

8:04 AM
@JourneymanGeek Yes. SO and SF

@ShadowWizard I'm experienced at pinging Shog.

@NogShine I think its a known/reported issue for some reason
and ya, likely to be fixed with the new responsive design

@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog I don't think he'll appreciate being pinged just to reopen or close a question... maybe he will, but more likely he won't.

Next to come up: Shogs golden rules of pinging e_e

@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog nice trick, but I hate the ping sound. I prefer SE app's notification.

@SomewhatMemorableName It's delayed

not a problem for me.

Other chat servers use different sounds

Meta server sound is much better than Chat.se.

8:17 AM
And sometimes "silence is golden"

heh
I set my own notification on mobile.
It goes... quack

8:33 AM
@JourneymanGeek not "woof"?

naw, would confuse the newbie

@JourneymanGeek Are you working on an answer for this?

no?
Question is far too confusing to post a good answer

Well polygeo wrote something comprehensible now.
I also had an idea to answer something, but didn't want to get ninja'd by you ;)

go ahead
I'm actually busy with something else ;)

ok, got it nearly working, so lemme answer that ;)

I was just to start about all of the wrong assumptions the OP made in their question. But you addressed that now.

I guess age is removed from the SEDE schema due to GDPR? meta.stackoverflow.com/q/368976/578411
We can be thankful to the Europeans for breaking a lot of SEDE queries ....
Maybe we can run :
  SELECT count(*)
  FROM [Data.StackExchange].[dbo].[Queries]
  where querybody like '%age%'

@rene probably... next to be removed: location. Because people will whine that their location is public and demand to hide it.
(using GDPR as excuse of course)
Heck, I saw someone demanding to opt out of automatic inactive account deletion, using GDPR somehow.

GDPR is the new hammer you can hit your thumb with.

And throw bloody splinters everywhere.
Breaking SEDE is one such splinter...

stackoverflow.com/review/suggested-edits/19916465 I saw this useless edit, which was immediately approved by a low rep user. Is there a way to flag this for suspicious behavior, or should I just roll it back?
Also why did it only require 1 approval
Oh because OP approved it
nevermind

whitespace in code + six-char padding. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Q: In Stan is there a way to use parameter posterior from old analysis as prior in new analysis?

@JohnDvorak how many?
Too bad Stan lost his darts.
