10:52 AM
@ShadowWizard hey

@JoErNanO What's the problem with your Mod mate
Mark Mayo. I saw a Q with 450 bounty and I checked it's revisions. He added and removed more than 10 notices on the same question
Is he hungry for an answer?

@SagarV He's a generous fellow.
With 100k+ rep he often bounties old questions to get them answered.
We're proudly sporting a 100% answer rate on Travel. Or at least we were.
These bounties help.

these much notices and still no answer?

Yeah. It's a hard Q. Most probably one would have to fly that leg in order to get a reliable answer.
The rest can only be speculation.

OP asked the question in April or May. I think he already flew and he can answer that

11:03 AM
Try answering it. Get some rep.

I tried. Loll!!!! yesterday I spend almost 3-4 hours researching Google Map, Google Flight, Morocco immigration site, Royal Air moroc and etc. etc.

@SagarV it happens on MSE too sometimes, there's a user who spent like 10k rep on single feature request and finally got it done.

Final result = I wasted my 3-4 hrs.
@ShadowWizard 10k+ rep as bounty? who is that

@SagarV See? :D

I hate that bounty. I don't want it. Lol

11:09 AM
Sour grapes. :)

@KennyBOT Keep quite.
@ShadowWizard is busy searching for the question. :p

Q: Can we disable automatic community wiki conversion for answer edits?

Brad LarsonCurrently, if a user edits their answer more than a certain number of times, that answer is automatically converted by the system to community wiki status. This trips up many well-meaning and active contributors to the site, and I believe it no longer serves a useful purpose. Therefore, I propose...

Well, "only" 3.5k rep, 7 bounties of 500 each.

ya. the last one is to award to existing answer. :p

@SagarV yeah because they did it not as result of the feature request, the answer wasn't posted during one of the existing 7 bounties. lol

11:54 AM
@JoErNanO travel.stackexchange.com/questions/95388/… can't book before one month?
here, the reservation till august is waitlist. Lol

Any new entry in your Love Journal? @Rah
@Joe @Sag you're both lucky, in Israel there is no such thing as booking a train travel/ticket in advance. You get to the station and buy a ticket. No other option.
If the train is full, it's your problem, either stand and suffer, or wait for the next one.
@FOX9000 huge :D

in Baker Street, 10 hours ago, by Berry Holmes
I'm a travel bug :D
@Joe can you fix the bug? ^

@ShadowWizard not yet

@ShadowWizard what about a 12 hour or a 36 hour journey?

2:34 PM
@ShadowWizard Travel bug in Baker Street. Either Watson or Holmes.
@SagarV 12 hours takes you all the way from Israel into Europe. :)

@JoErNanO A 43 hours journey within India

@SagarV We're talking about extremely different distance scales here.
20,770 km² vs 3.287 million km²
Honestly, that's not even comparable.

@ShadowWizard Ew, why isn't there?

21e3 with 3e6

@JoErNanO I am saying that why the booking is there in India
@JoErNanO a layout bug is there in travel. Reported on meta

2:38 PM
Gotta go. Pomodoro is starting.

Pomodoro??

3:22 PM
@Rahul2001 :(
@SagarV hmm? You did??
@JoErNanO not on foot.... :D
@ProgramFOX rotten train system, full with waste of money and corruption, so there's no money left to do nice things, or anyone who really cares in the management. They're busy 24/7 fighting the employees who want more money. Long story...
Plus, maybe @Sag is correct and there's simply no real need as the longest possible travel is couple of hours. lol
(e.g. no train to Eilat, which is the "furthest" city in Israel)
(and takes ~6 hours in car from the center)
(it's planned, but like FR's in SE, will most likely take 6(0)-8(0) years)
The High-speed railway to Eilat (Med-Red) is a proposed Israeli railway that will enable the connection of the main Israeli population centers and Mediterranean ports to the southern city of Eilat on the Red Sea coast, as well as serve commercial freight between the Mediterranean Sea (city of Ashdod) and Red Sea (Eilat). The railway will spur southward from the existing rail line at Beersheba, and continue through Dimona to the Arava, Ramon Airport and Eilat, at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour (220 mph). Its length will be roughly 260 km of electrified double-track rail (not including the Tel...

@SagarV Pomodoro method.
I work in 25min bursts and take a 5min break in between.
That is, when I remember to take the break.
Oh and yes, I'm in the lab working. On a Sunday.

3:40 PM
@JoErNanO seems like I should migrate to it myself

3:55 PM
@ShadowWizard mew

4:07 PM
@SagarV If you do, make sure you stick to the timing religiously.
No distraction, no SE, no facebook during the 25mins of productive work.
No colleagues asking questions.
No nothing.
It'll get you hated. But you'll get productive in return.

@JoErNanO what is it that you do?

@Rahul2001 I'm currently writing my PhD thesis.
I'll be back in 25 minutes to explain. :)

@bjb568 woof

@ShadowWizard woven (?)

4:24 PM
@JoErNanO lol ok

That's not gonna work for me. Check whatsapp, facebook , stackoverflow at least 5 times within 20 mins.

@Rahul2001 See? I missed my break.
@SagarV Learn not to. Or install browser blockers.
25minutes two paragraphs three references.
Pomodoro works.

5:02 PM
@JoErNanO What are you doing your thesis on?

5:17 PM
@JoErNanO the bug is reprod in SO too. Reported here in mse
@Rahul2001 he will be back in 25 mins
Or may be in 6-8 weeks. Lol

@ProgramFOX sorry for ruining your edit on the Q ...

I didn't edit

Oh, wait ...
it was Panta ...
nvm

@Rahul2001 Mathematical modelling of neural activity during memory tasks. :)

@JoErNanO is it related to maths or neural activity or memory tasks?

5:42 PM
@SagarV Basically I use mathematical models of biological neurons to simulate the neural recordings in actual bits and pieces of brain during certain memory tasks.
The goal here is to bridge the gap between single-cell recordings of animal tissue and noninvasive extracellular recordings of human EEG signals.
The gap is more like a bottomless chasm, actually.
@Rahul2001 ^
Aaaaaaaand, I silenced the den.
