So you're Sam's sock?

Hmm, maybe I should look for SO questions to answer...

user315433
Yes, totally. On weekends it's easier: less competition.

There aren't too many questions that are both interesting and able for me to answer.

@Derpy I can neither confirm nor deny that there is a plan for April 1. ;-)

I have a guess for what it's going to be... a new content license announcement.

@404 all of the missing indentation is belong to you two

user315433
Hey, I indented functions and conditionals.

user315433
Another possibility is to have anti-April 1. Disclose on that day that Teams project was indeed the joke that it appears to be.

That JS works? With curly quotes?

12:11 AM
lol I noticed that too
@404 s/Teams/careers

I'll edit the question...

give him some indentation in the object too :p

sure.

user315433
It's copy-pasted from a blog, so... and I wasn't going to get Twitter API keys and gather 100 usernames anyway, so what's the point.

Hopefully that's slightly better.

user315433
12:20 AM
Fun Fact: the Script Editor in Google Apps Script has no auto-indent feature.

Okay, both posts edited.
Searching for posts with smart quotes & fixing them would be a potential task.

nice work

thanks. :) Copy & paste into Sublime does wonders.

A: Recruiter claims to have gotten my email address from SO

Joel SpolskyAs Tim wrote in his answer, the worst offenders are combining profiles from different places, scraping github, Stack Overflow, LinkedIn, etc., sometimes guessing email addresses. @404 There's also no questions to answer. Most of them are syntax errors... boring problems... questions that should be closed.

You old jaded people. :/

"Back in my day" the questions weren't better. I just had lower quality standards. :P

Then it's probably because the API involved is too stable and not buggy enough to force creative workarounds...

@Shog9 Can you actually dupe a question to a locked question?

It's just decent posters who don't engage in any other activity on the site.

@hichris123 why not?

I dunno. I just figured the system would stop you.
Guess not. :P

user315433
The annoying restriction is trying to dupe-vote when I know I answered the original correctly, but the answer is at 0.

@IͶΔ On WebApps, I got to 11K, closevoted a bunch and still no downvotes. data.stackexchange.com/webapps/query/449361?minrep=1000

"noise of pointless"? What kind of a close reason is that?

user315433
@hichris123 It's supposed to be for meta only.

@404 ok...ay then.

A: Do users understand the clear distinction between "Noise or Pointless" and "Not a real question" close reasons?

user27414"Not a real question" is not a close option on meta. I was one of the closers. I felt "noise or pointless" was the best option as none of the other options made sense. Maybe I was wrong to close your question, but that's why it requires voting. As of right now you're 2 votes on your way to a r...

An idea for SEDE query: distribution of reviewers in a particular queue (Triage, CV, HI, ...) by their rep. Would need to be time-restricted to the last week or so, so that the rep values are reasonably current.

user315433
I suppose it's bottom heavy in most queues, but CVQ might actually be an exception there.

It seems like a decent heuristic for low quality questions would be Random Capitalization. For example: stackoverflow.com/questions/35801869/…

No calculus homework here recently, what's the deal with that @bjb?

Not taking calc now.

Too bad. Stats are ... yeah, useful, but...

user315433
But there is a torrent link at archive.org/details/stackexchange

@hichris123 Grr, the "general soft/hardware" reason always points to SU, but the question is about a mobile device, offtopic there.

10:23 PM
@404 I'm going to try to take some interesting courses next year like differential equations, differential geometry, abstract algebra, complex analysis…

user315433
Good selection, can't really go wrong there.

@404 You learn to not worry about that, and just press the close button. :P

user315433
Not if you're familiar with being a migration target from a much larger site that sends weird stuff your way.

user315433
(SU -> Web Apps, in my case)

I kinda doubt many people reask their question on SU. Most people don't even bother to edit their question, much less go all the way to another site & reask.

user315433

Editing is hard. Copy-pasting to multiple sites is easy. Some don't even need an invitation to do that.

eh, true.

Since I'm using IFTTT for posting to Twitter (still not in the mood for their API), some tweets have extra ugly linebreaks. :/ Switching to HTML now.

I hiked 105km in 6 days with a full pack on (tent, sleeping bag, food, water, 2 powerbanks and 2 mobile phones, 2 headlights and many batteries etc) and I have lost no weight, not even an ounce!

user202362
sadness

user202362
In hindsight, I probably should have done the walk in 4 days ...

user202362
It's designed for 8 days, but that's only for average fitness people

11:04 PM
How many miles is 105km?
Apparently ~65.

user315433
About 47.5 decaliters.

If a question is closed, downvoted, has no answer, and the OP vandalizes it, should a mod just click delete instead of rollback? @Undo stackoverflow.com/posts/35632710/revisions

11:25 PM
@404 Maybe, but I'd rather give the system and the community a chance to delete it.
The crappiness of that post isn't really an exception

My first day of close-reviewing on SO.

Hopefully. Stats won't be impressive, since I only get credit for reviews that are Edit, Leave Open, Close-dupe or Close-migrate. The rest are closevotes cast via the API by Enhanced Close Review.
