10 am, but I usually get there near 10:45

and then no time to leave (though official is 7 pm, but its been almost a year and half since I left even at 8 pm)

And his web work is pure shit!

And he don't even provide PSDs, he provide us paint.net files. Just look how professional he is!

He don't even use snake_case for keys in webservices

And he is our client.. just imagine how much he would be earning.

quite frankly, I don't care if anyone is earning more or less than me. I have friends who earn double than me and I have friends whose salary is half than that of mine. But dude! I got a personal life too and there is a limit to which you can push everyone

I am still learning a lot in this company, they taught me programming, they taught me team handling, and now they are teaching me project handling

that's why I never complained about it, but when I tried to complain this time around, they weren't ready to listen

I wasn't even able to buy a gift for my mom on her b'day. I had to ask a friend of mine to do that for me. That is the thing that really pushed me over the edge.

money is most of the things in life and without it, you can't survive here. But, there are things above it, which all the money can't buy and this company is making me loose those things now. Can't let that happen

Just tell them that you have plans too, and you can't work on sundays.. and stuff

No planning goes into project prior to development. No documentation either and then developers have to work in tight deadlines.

They are forced to hit milestones usually one day earlier than the designated time. Then they have to work on previous issues too. Then they are also made to work on new additions by client.

well, we are not that strict here. tho planning and documentation doesn't exist here too

all that in time for current milestone and milestones are made so, that if you even take a breathe, you are late. Such tight milestones(though according to developers capability), but no free time.

Honestly, there is not a single employee who suffered stuff like you told me now

but here people get on our nerves by asking leaves for less important stuff, and that too without completing targets, this is really annoying

@berserk haha, if something seems un-important to you, it might be important to them. Usually, companies have extra guys to work on projects, if the current guy leaves

There is a time period, upto which everyone plans in future. For project manager, its the entire project's lifespan. For team leader, its modules assigned to his team, usually a two week or one week milestone. For developer, its usually just the present day.

A project manager plans usually two months ahead. Breaks the project into tasks and assign them to teams. Usually the time taken should be 20% extra of what you initially intercepted

because, guys gotta take leaves for various things and that's a fact.

If you directly comes to developer's point of view, they just come in morning, do the assigned task in assigned time and that's it

If they start thinking farther than that, they will be the team leads

haha, so now you know, that developers are not to be blamed if project gets late. Its the managers. They simple didn't account for that 20% extra time

and be warned, you never tell a developer that you've taken that 20% extra time. If you tell them, then its of no use :P

I already told you, if they gotta leave, they gotta leave. Solution to that is, divide the project into tasks and most of the tasks should be either half day or one day long.

Like making a screen, implementing API etc. These should be the tasks.

Assign dates for each task and have them complete the task they are assigned each day. So, if they don't come any day, then it will be clear in project, that what tasks they completed, what is pending and if another dev has to work on that project, what he has to work on

this way, there are minimal chances of one developer leaving a half completed task in-between.

Same thing is followed, when there are more than one guys working on a single project/module/task

@berserk haha, only saying all this is easy. Just imagine a two month long project, for which, you have to already decide all the APIs, there response etc etc. You WILL make mistakes in beginning and usually frustrating mistakes. Also, this is a time consuming process. You just can't think of something for 10 minutes and decide its course over next two months. It usually take 2-3 days to draft everything.

The first of holy texts, that I ever read, out of my own religion and a majority religion in my living area

@DroidDev isn't it a must during school in India? In Israel, we start learning about the Bible as early as elementary school

Not in religious aspect, but just to learn it exists, what it means etc

@ShadowWizard Actually, India is a diverse country with many religions, and if holy text of one is added, everyone else will protest

plus, the definition of Indian democracy states that one can exercise any religion, which also means that no-one can be forced to read text from any holy books, until they desire so, which will be countered, if we add holy texts to school books

because, you have to read them

though, because India's religions are also its history, some school boards introduce stories about religious leaders in there books, because it is also a part of that particular region's history

@DroidDev hmm.. interesting. Thought majority of people in India are Muslims, while minority follow the Buddhism etc.

In Israel anyone is of course free to have any religion, but if going to ordinary school, can't escape learning about Judaism.

To sum up my opinion, religion should adapt to the current time and culture, not the other way around. ISIS are trying to force the other way around, and that's why they will fail. You can't move time and culture backwards.

anyway, I am not saying that Islam is a religion of wrong people. I have many Muslim friends, very good ones. I have smoked and boozed out with many of them ;)
