@VLAZ Re: this edit, What is ?
08:32
@ElementsInSpace Oh... very much a mistake. I rolled it back.
I grabbed the wrong keyboard earlier today (two computers, here) and tried to type something. Apparently I must have been on that page and did a tag edit with a keyboard shortcut. There must have been a T earlier in the sequence (since it opens the tag editing tool).
I did notice my typing didn't reflect on the computer I was looking at, looked down, and say I had the wrong keyboard with me. So, I swapped it and didn't think much. Figured it wouldn't have been an issue.
I’ve got a couple of computers next to each other as well. Sometimes (when working on both simultaneously), I use the wrong mouse or keyboard too.
(or have the keyboard set to the wrong language)

I try to remote in but... I've at least once typed in the wrong thing into the wrong window :D

@JourneymanGeek At my old company, it was quite often somebody would write their password in Slack. Since they had the Slack window focused when trying to login somewhere. It happened maybe once or twice a month. So, not very frequent but consistent. Not the same person, either.
thankfully more often than not, its commands
and most of my external facing passwords are random
At my current company this doesn't happen a lot. Mostly because we use Teams and that's not very good. So people don't really want to keep it open all the times to monitor the chat. Because they also they don't want to use group chat channels a lot. Because Teams is not very good.
feature or bug? :D
beature. Or fug.
I've said that before, so at the risk of repeating myself in this room: Teams is perfectly serviceable. Like, it's not a bad product. However, there is a myriad of small and mildly annoying things in it that make consistent usage of it just not fun. Slack, by comparison (which offers basically 1:1 features) was just so much more convenient. And people wanted to use it.
I can sum up the difference between the two as: I used Slack because I liked it. I use Teams because I must.
@VLAZ Stack Overflow Teams?
@ElementsInSpace well, I sometimes try to use my phone instead of the mouse. They look the same, about same size, and it usually sit nearby the mouse. ;)
As for keyboard, often ישהק ןא דקא אם 'רםמע ךשמעושעק אםם. :-P
(that is "often have it set to wrong language too" written with keyboard on, well, wrong language. ;))

@ShadowWizard Microsoft Teams
Sorry, I keep forgetting SO Teams exists.
ah, oops. :D
@ShadowWizard I mean, in some ways its not very good either :D
Well yeah, we have couple of clients using it as well, and it's a pain. All the rest are fine with Zoom or Google Meet, both better.
@ShadowWizard :D Just in case anybody is not aware - you can set your OS to keep the keyboard language per application, rather than global. For example, in the browser you can type in one language, in a chat application another. It's not perfect (say, you still have to switch languages often if you want to use different ones in the browser) but does help a lot.
@JourneymanGeek no doubt. ;)
@VLAZ ah, thanks! One never stops learning. :D
10:00
I've been using this for a couple of decades now. But my boss recently complained that he had to do constant switching for chat and other stuff and I blew his mind when I told him he could have separate languages for separate applications, which eased his life a lot.
@VLAZ translate this to money, ask for a bonus. ;)
"Congratulations, you have been promoted to CEKLSO - Chief Executive Keyboard Layout Switch Officer."

@ShadowWizard pictures of her with oversaturated colors
@ShadowWizard um, why does it look like that
@Tinkeringbell meh, looks like yet another dumpster fire
. . .I really should read the next messages before responding. Meh
@M.A.R. Seems pretty clear: as it says 99.6% are 30. And 85.3% are 102. If want to ask, "percentage of what" then the answer also stares you in the face: of 100%. The only problem I see in that bar chart is that it's just redundant - everybody already knows this. It doesn't show any new information. /s
@M.A.R. Hey, a fire is a fire. Can't all be good wood fires or acceptable scented candle fires ;)
Sometimes you gotta enjoy what you have, if there's a lack of better :P
@Tinkeringbell I wonder what ruling the supreme court will overturn this time.
Abolishing slavery?
Probably child labor laws first?
Mhm. On the list of "okay to overlook since they don't vote" populations, children rank pretty high
A small step towards a freer and firster America
@VLAZ if a chart falls in a presentation, and there's no one there to look at it, is it still ugly?
14:09
@M.A.R. I think it depends on the day of the week.
@M.A.R. And I heard some local fascist wannabes here already looking for their own Trump, so "progress" all around
@Mithoron but surely Poland can't be first if America is. I suggest we have them fight each other until we only have to deal with the winner
Also, hey, what's up?
@M.A.R. YU no seekrit club :/
@M.A.R. They're already so far up their ass that fight could be interesting ;>
14:23
@M.A.R. yes you should
@M.A.R. Same old. Have any movie recommendations for lifting ones spirit?
@M.A.R. Tell @JourneymanGeek to watch The Good Place, maybe He'll listen to you ;)
Did you tell me to?
also, why? :D
But all these memes may spoiled it.
See, he doesn't even remember!
@JourneymanGeek Like maybe because it's one the best and smartest comedy series?
I mean, I guess that's reasonable
looks at backlog
I'll throw it in somewhere there :D
15:28
@Tinkeringbell nope!
@VLAZ nope!
@Spevacus nope!
@AndreascondemnsIsrael yes!
@VLAZ :-)
@M.A.R. nope!
@M.A.R. because I made it! :D
@VLAZ ah, the numbers in the bottom should be machine names. In that specific case, the names are still only id number of the machine, client will probably give actual names later. ;)
Thought you mean the gap between the 0 and actual bar, which is indeed sort of bug. Anyway the graph showing efficiency per machine. :)
@Mithoron maybe secret is exposed? ;)
Think that clean the ping backlog, forgot to check all dem pingz before. lol
@ShadowWizard "They may not know it, but put someone in a dark room and release thousands of flaming clown spiders - their fear priorities change rapidly." (reference)
@VLAZ interesting to watch, thanks. :D

@Mithoron eh well, these days I can't even commit myself to having the meals of the day, let alone chat
@Mithoron well I watched The Wild Robot. It was pretty adorable. The first hour especially was really great, hadn't seen something like that in a while
@Mithoron People who watch The Good Place are an elite club of coolness and @Journey is not invited
@ShadowWizard nope
whispers REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY
@ShadowWizard were you asleep on the keyboard while you were making it?

I asked in a flag "Is there a way to contact the moderators of meta.stackexchange.com other than by flagging something?" A reply said "most of us are in the Tavern on the Meta chatroom" But I had in mind a message of an official nature to all of the moderators qua moderators. The phrase "most of us" (among other things) makes it appear as if that was not understood.
@MichaelHardy There's no real ironclad way to contact all of us. If you'd like, I can make a private chatroom for you and I and I'll poke the other mods to take a peek. However, I struggle to see a reason for all of us to get involved. Typically, if we are struggling with a solution to a problem, we get a couple of us together to sort out a solution.
If there's something you'd like done on the site, a flag is the most appropriate way to do that. We don't handle all flags individually; we sometimes chat about it.
You say you struggle to see a reason. Does it not occur to you that that's because I have not yet told you the reason?
I'm surprised that that's the only way, but if that's what it takes, could you please attend to that?

@M.A.R. worse! I was trying to follow vague to non-existent design requests, using old base code. :-D
