@JourneymanGeek yeah actually I remember that troll, but still - doesn't matter. Think they even fooled us for a while in MSE and people kept trying to help.
I never even tried to contact any other CM (who is still a CM, I mean) and don't mean to try, it just look pointless and none make themselves available anyway.
I'm sure they do awesome work. On something, somewhere, that we'll never know about.
So essentially, SE succeeded in their task: make the CM role itself pointless. Kudos for them. lol
@JourneymanGeek I suspect that was their goal for long time: less CM's, less interaction between senior staff and the "rubble" - the common folks down there. I can understand - they don't want to get dirty. lol
The total and utter lack of any hint or crumb of understanding how things work is proved beyond any doubt with their latest act, of putting the data dumps behind login walls, taking it away by force from the web archive.
@JourneymanGeek but we had few semi-senior staff who acted as bridges.
Should an open letter about SO user research be posted on SO or SE meta, if what they're researching is broadly-applicable to the whole network but it's framed as an SO-specific research project?
