@SPArcheon yeah, chat profile is never deleted when site account deleted, unlike what balpha said in some wrong answer years ago. Anyhow, unlike @Journeyman I don't know them, and they never wrote in chat so not sure how you even found that profile?

This raise a privacy issue, when someone deletes their account, it usually means they want all their details to be gone. Leaving the whole chat profile intact goes against it in very bad way.

But meh, SE doesn't care and can't be nudged otherwise.

the username on the chat messages is anonymized, but it links back to the user page which is not.

And even if they tried to anonymize the page, then all the "@username" replies would still disclose the now-gone user.
