Anyhow... worst case scenario has come true in Israel. Extreme right winged party won big time. Their leaders support killing people just because they're not Israeli, and plan to close courts or fire judges that don't agree with them.
It's essentially a banned party, coming back with a different name:
Kach (Hebrew: כך, lit. 'Thus') was a radical Orthodox Jewish, ultranationalist political party in Israel, existing from 1971 to 1994. Founded by Rabbi Meir Kahane in 1971, based on his Jewish-Orthodox-nationalist ideology (subsequently dubbed Kahanism), the party earned a single seat in the Knesset in the 1984 election, after several electoral failures. However, it was barred from participating in the next election in 1988 under the revised Knesset Elections Law banning parties that incited racism. After Kahane's assassination in 1990, the party split, with Kahane Chai (כהנא חי‎, "Kahane Lives...
@tripleee already gone, we have a stalker? ;)

probably (-:

10:04 AM
@ShadowTheKidWizard Huh? News over here says Likud won, and that they're a right-religious party.. no mention of 'extreme' though :/
Same party?

@Tinkeringbell hehe. Well, by numbers, yes. Likud have around 30. But thing is, "Jewish Power" have around 15, and the Likud must include them to form a government. It means they will get absolute power, at least three ministers, including Minister of Defense, meaning they will control the army. Etc.
@Tinkeringbell no, Likud isn't extreme.

Ahhh, like that. There is some mention of them needing to collaborate with other 'right wing' parties to get a government going, but no mention of how extreme those parties are. That sucks.

Likud is one-man party.
All the rest are his puppets.
Someone even once leaked "secret" info, that they must sign a contract where they say they'll always agree and obey to what he says.
All those who don't, left on their own or were kicked out, quite a few now run in different parties.

Hmm. Actually I think there may be similar things in government here. Like, you're mostly supposed to follow party lines, unless something is declared a 'vrije kwestie', in which case they can vote according to their own beliefs.

@Tinkeringbell sure, thing is the contract is about obeying a single person, specific person, not e.g. "leader of the party".

10:13 AM
'vrije kwestie' is mostly reserved for very fuzzy subjects, like euthanasia law, where each party member is pretty much subject to his/her own morality and the party won't force another onto them.
@ShadowTheKidWizard Yeah, that's not sounding all that great then XD

Exactly.
And, they'll also pass a law now that aborts each and any trials against an elected prime minister, no matter what the accusations are.

@ShadowTheKidWizard Ah, yeah. Netanyahu being a suspect is mentioned in the Dutch news article too, but nothing about him changing the law. Makes sense though :D

10:48 AM
@Tinkeringbell not him, his new "friends", i.e. the extreme party above. ;)

Ah. Well he could block them :P

One of their leaders clearly said that's what they'll do if elected.

Wouldn't be the first time a political figure gets away with things that way. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D%C3%A9si_Bouterse < Got convicted for murders, became president, had the national assembly grant him amnesty 2 years later.

11:31 AM
@Tinkeringbell yeah, some different key points, but same principle.

@tripleee yeah there is beautiful pencil icon to indicate this. ;)
Being already closed, doubt anyone from the site will take a second look. Small chance it will get to 6 flags.

@MetaAndrewT. they should add podcast below the other one
or go back to naming them consistently
but otherwise, great change

@KevinB I think every blog post these days is also a podcast.
No?

no

7:14 PM
@tripleee The spam flags on that have been cleared out by a mod, so the request should probably be binned to avoid any more spam flags on it.

@cigien pity, that's obvious spam, the mod is mistaken.

@ShadowTheKidWizard It has a lot of the indicators of spam, but I'm not really sure it's spam. I'm not comfortable spam flagging it at least. It looks like it answers the question, and affiliation is disclosed. It's also the user's only such post - if they post multiple such answers that would make it much clearer that they intend to spam, rather than provide useful content.

I don't remember when it was changed so that you couldn't see what reviews of your pending suggested edits have already been made, but I'm finding it annoying.

i dont think i've ever suggested an edit

8:19 PM
@Mithical It feels like a good while ago now. It's really annoying. I've been wanting to request to see them again but...

8:52 PM
@cigien fair, and it's not like I can do anything further about it anyway. :)
@KevinB that's.... that's.... impossible! ;)
@Spevacus afraid of downvotes? Or of watching your request slowly rot on MSE? :D
He's here!

@ShadowTheKidWizard One of the driving things I wanted to make sure was known was that current reviews before the review's completion were, indeed, visible if you visited the review page of a suggested edit. Problem is... I don't have any screenshots from that time.

@Spevacus I see, that's a missing puzzle piece indeed. ;(
@david-fong coffee or tea?
That is weird.
I ping David, and Sonic appears.
hmm

@ShadowTheKidWizard water! but if I have to pick one, tea :)

9:07 PM
@david-fong let's try what you prefer first.
:(
:)

thanks!

Thank our loyal bot, Smokey! He's really relentless. :D

I'm quite bewlidered at what just happened but that was fun xD
I've seen smokey in socvr

@david-fong hmm? You mean having a chat bot here?
Den has two fun bots, they can do much more than just tea or coffee. ;)

at having a bot narrate pouring me tea xD

9:09 PM
lol
Kenny can serve milk.

I made a picture of smokey, the roomba, and friends: tada

who's kenny?

@david-fong that's awesome! What's inside the pot? And why is it smiling? ;)

':) the pot is supposed to be the roomba
they're curling

Someone made something like that long long long ago, I'll try to find it soon.

9:15 PM
:D

@ShadowTheKidWizard I don't drink tea XD
