Correct way would have been to invent this for the use of banks, and keep using existing currency. Instead, they create hundreds, if not thousands, of new currency, most of them pure crap or trolling, and expect people to buy. And people buy, which is the most terrible thing.
@MetaAndrewT. yeah the last standing onebox of external pages (xkcd used to always work) has fallen.
Next to break: onebox of posts.
And nobody doesn't have even the most slight idea why, I'm certain that the poor soul who'll be assigned to fix onebox, if SE ever choose to do it, will just rewrite it from scratch.
@Ethan gone. They had some profiles deleted yesterday, and their IP address was blocked. So even though I didn't see any more spam posts, it felt like a safe one to clean up.
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar This is the same one as the one from the message above ^^
@JourneymanGeek you mean an Americano isn't really coffee (because you're some sort of coffee purist)? Or is this a comment on the fact that no actual coffee was produced, and this is just a digital coffee? xD
mmmm.... I can neither ingest digital coffee, nor exchange it for something else (unless people actually take digital coffee as legit currency somehow, and I'm not aware of it)
And of course, it's real. (I didn't check before posting)
Enough that Musk, or anyone with similar influence, will buy single CoffeeCoin, and its worth will rise x100000 in less than a day. And that's why it's so terrible. Well, one reason among many.
It's so ridiculous that the ridiculous level overflows and makes it possible, like the engine used to warp through space in the Hitchhiker's Guide books.
@Shadow Re: this change - I am unfamiliar with Grace but there are a few other instances of "she" and "her" in there. Should they be changed as well, or am I just misunderstanding?
I don't find anything in their profile that indicates that edit is warranted. Although I must admit your SE profile wouldn't be your first priority to update I guess.
I was unable to find the intro posts for Grace Note and Adam Lear, I assume intentionally.
(There were a few issues with broken links caused by several blog platform migrations over the years, but I was able to find all the others.)
Okay, no, I was wrong; the blog posts are still up, just all the links were broken and Grace's has been edited to remove the name I was searching with.
*shrugs* I don't know, I wouldn't assume a blog post from 11 years ago is still accurate. The post uses they/them as of right now; I think leaving it is fine unless Grace chooses to update their profile or similar to explicitly state what's correct.
@Mithical oh, weird, as it wasn't Grace's real name. I think. Pretty sure. Or was it?
I don't remember the exact name, just that it was very similar to name of a very famous singer. Or even exactly the same, meaning chance of it being the actual name of Grace is really low.
