@forestdistrustsStackExchange Funny story that....
I basically wrote and posted a (long) answer (on my phone!), decided it needed a lot more polish and deleted it immediately so I could edit it...
about 10 seconds later "Hey! That was a perfectly fine answer! What happened?"
"ITS NOT READY"
But yeah, beats 20 edits bumping the post
01:47
Well, no one has complained so far, at least.
I just edited a post to contain an en dash instead of a hyphen, and no one can stop me! Bwahaha

@PM2Ring it's saved in server cache, attached to your account. If you have answer draft, for example, and you open the question in different device, you'll see your draft.
But the tricky part, only one draft, so if you start writing answer to different question, it will overwrite any previous answer drafts.
(all the above is afaik of course, might have changed by now.)
@JourneymanGeek but did they actually post spam, or is it only profile spammer?
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar yes
Nuked the spam I saw and the user on my sites
@forestdistrustsStackExchange need space after the > to have it as quote.
> hello
@forestdistrustsStackExchange you mean hire users for freelance small tasks? That would be nightmare to maintain properly.
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar whistles
@JourneymanGeek oh, this explains why only two accounts ;)
@JourneymanGeek ?
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar see original chat
08:01
@forestdistrustsStackExchange Jeff thought it's best located where it's now, nobody ever dared changing it. ;)
@JourneymanGeek oh lol. reporting abuse of mod power
:D
@user1271772 yeah, you win! Not going to post such feature request. ;)
My issue is with the 0.0 actually, so any ideas? Maybe change to "N/A" or "No questions"?
08:15
Orrrr

08:28
@sha you turned archeologist?
08:38
@Luuklag ?
You mean my edit of old answer?
Just noticed it's linking to porn, while personally I'm fine with it, guess others are not. ;)
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar no closing old q's as dupes
@Luuklag you mean re-closing, it's just for the "new" dupe design to kick in.
With the actual banner and all, not HTML injected to the question body.
I'm not looking for those but do it when stumbling over such old dupe closure.
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar cool
09:03
...
Smokey used to say what the user is blacklisted for, lol.
So bugged.
I won't go and look, and this isn't spam. If the user spammed in the past, well, pity.
Guess Smokey just getting old, more and more things that used to work fine are broken, never to be fixed.
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar He's a network wide sock/troll
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar here what you are really trying to say is that the offerer has to choose the bounty target answer now, during the grace period. Correct? Because that's a long comment that smells more like saying "you can't give the bounty to the answer you want".
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar Formerly known as Abjit Bagchi
that's incorrect
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar You are confusing "Blacklisted username" and "Blacklisted user" - the former means that a blacklist manager (here, acting on a previous watch from a moderator on multiple network sites) manually added the username to a list.
09:16
@DavidPostill no? The user has valid accounts on SE with valid posts.
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar Trust @DavidPostill on that
He's an 'interesting' case
@AndrasDeak--СлаваУкраїні well yeah, I'm pretty sure the user who started the bounty is away, and will see the comment only after grace period is over.
Hence this wording.
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar eh
@DavidPostill sadly, means nothing to me.
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar If you're not going to look at the past pattern of abuse, may I suggest not giving feedback? This user has posted a pattern of extremely low-quality content (example) to the point that it nearly defies belief that they're acting in good faith.

@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar uh?
@RyanM also the random accents
@RyanM I won't flag as spam or offensive something that isn't just because of "past patterns".
I don't even know the history but it reeks
There's a CM ticket about this, arguing about it in public isn't going to help much.
@JourneymanGeek so contact CM, suspend the troll network wide and be done with it.
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar You assume we haven't
Again, I'm not part of this inner troll hunters circle, and if you don't want me to give Smokey feedback it's fine, I'll stop.
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar lol, more that that's there for a reason and there's a ton of background you wouldn't be aware of
Which is intentional; most users don't need to be aware of troll activity.
@JourneymanGeek what is incorrect there?
09:22
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar he can bounty past posts
@Mithical but you expect them to know when someone is actually a troll. Conflict.
@JourneymanGeek not after bounty is over.
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar Not necessarily, but once you're told about it it shouldn't be an issue.
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar for 24 hours afterwards, I believe
@Mithical ...
I mean after bounty and grace period are over.
And extra grace period if there is any.
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar Relatedly, "blacklisted username" is generally a sign that one may need to look at the history of that username to see why it was blacklisted, in order to determine if the user is up to something shady but subtle (as here).
So if one Dan is doing something shady, we should look on all Dans? There are thousands. So... no thanks.
User name isn't unique..... guess that's the problem.
09:29
We would not add such a pattern to the lists for exactly that reason.
There are far fewer users named user[five specific numbers]
09:48
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar Known troublemaker.
Rest is mod-only information.
This particular user can be recognized by the content of their profile, which makes it a lot more unique.
Yes, that requires checking the profile. But we do that for a lot of the spammers anyway.
10:46
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar care to edit this dupe list to include the officially supported browsers post? meta.stackexchange.com/questions/105275/…
11:37
@Luuklag wrong link, you linked to "Abusing" bounties for unlimited profit which 1) isn't closed as duplicate, and 2) isn't related to browsers.
Assuming you meant this one, did it now.

@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar yup, sorry.
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar it's a manual blacklist. "This guy is a bad faith actor and we're keeping an eye on them"
flags Putin as offensive

^one for you to nuke @journ @david
14:38
@Luuklag Thx. Done
14:53
@M.A.R. so upon asking Smokey "why", expecting to get reply like "Blacklisted by [name here]" so I know I can ask someone about it. But meh, I won't interfere them any longer. :D
thinking what to do with all the spare time I'll now have
And yeah this specfic blacklisted username appears to be on a big roll today.
@M.A.R. say hello to the nuclear bomb on your doorstep.
Or if he's really in bad mood, poison in your underwear.
@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar oh I'm hundreds of miles away so I can be brave.
@Feeds Getting through a onebox audit with your nerves intact
@M.A.R. perhaps they can use that sponsored money to fix oneboxes

@ShadowWizardSaysNoMoreWar wow, I win that easily?! haha. I also agree though, that 0.0 looks extremely weird. I was surprised that my recent Windows Phone question actually got answered. I literally thought of that question (after checking for possible duplicates of course) just to get a hat during Winter Bash, but recently it actually got answered by someone!
