@SonictheAnti-NewVariant-hog hmm? Random old message digging game? Can't see any context why you posted it out of the blue lol.
@ShadowWizardHatesOmicron To test the new date format for oneboxes
Was going to post an explanatory message but got sidetracked
New format?? looking
oh, nice.

> Twelve Hours of Smoke
movie name? ^
:D
Sadly no such movie, closest is this. ;(
> Arby's 13-hour long commercial in which a brisket is sizzling inside a smoker for the popular Smokehouse Brisket Sandwich.
@ShadowWizardHatesOmicron Some commercial tv station broadcast a fireplace fire on Christmas day :P
umm... is it only me misremembering, or a few parts of SE is engulfed in darkness?
radio button is now black
"filter rooms" textbox is now black
@MetaAndrewT. nope
One of your userscripts gone rogue, most likely.
I don't see it, so check userscripts first yeah :D
09:02
SE made major changes to design, e.g. new reputation page, so it usually break userscripts.
(of course they just did it, never even thinking to announce.)
Anyway, did I already say I'll never use userscripts, exactly because of such things? :D
I don't want things to go missing/black/pink randomly without me ever knowing why. ;)
Well if you do start using userscripts, you will know why :P
@Tinkeringbell only if I'll have single script... ;)
But I'll just forget I have it, and will be lost, pulling hairs, etc.
I love my hair, want it to stay on my head. :P
Oh, otherwise it becomes 'one of the scripts' and you can just turn all of them off for a day or two. After that, the one that was causing it will demand to be updated once you turn scripts back on :P
@MetaAndrewT. well, thinking a bit about it, the most likely culprit is the "black theme" userscript.
@ShadowWizardHatesOmicron I can agree on that. But you can also train yourself not to pull regardless of what happens (a bit like stopping to bite your nails :P)
09:09
@Tinkeringbell :D
apparently, it's... Chrome doing something

Q: What is a user agent stylesheet?

Kapil SharmaI'm working on a web page in Google Chrome. It displays correctly with the following styles. table { display: table; border-collapse: separate; border-spacing: 2px; border-color: gray; } It is important to note that I didn't define these styles. In Chrome developer tools, it sa...

09:54
@MetaAndrewT. no? Unless you have some fancy/customized version, everyone would have seen what you see, and they're not.
And if your browser default CSS changed, it means something on your side did it, dunno if userscripts have such power, so maybe malware or even some security software you installed, messing with the browsers to fit its own quirks.
Anyway, I do wish your Chrome to get well soon. ;)
10:28
@ShadowWizardHatesOmicron it's not only applied on SE, so... yes, Chrome is in rebel period
@MetaAndrewT. kick it! Nuke it!
:D

@ShadowWizardHatesOmicron The TinkerPony script doesn't do anything beside fixing a bug with a certain avatar :P .
@ShadowWizardHatesOmicron gone
@JourneymanGeek gone
13:21
@SPArcheon Well you're safe... for now ;)
@SPArcheon :D
@JNat thanks!
Medical.SE got one nomination so far. One more, and they won't need me. ;)
13:36
@ShadowWizardHatesOmicron Weren't there two positions? Then they'd need two more or the election won't be competitive, right?
Think I can just copy my nomination from Parenting, I'm active on both about the same. :P
@Tinkeringbell oh, really?! I thought if there are two positions, and two nominations, the two just automatically win. No?
Are they still beta? if not, I don't think so.
Hard to believe small and inactive site like Medical.SE will gather four people to nominate. :/
@Tinkeringbell yeah, Beta.
Medical was very close to being closed once.
@ShadowWizardHatesOmicron Not four, three.
But on beta sites, yeah I think if there's just as many candidates as positions they're just appointed.
@Tinkeringbell oh "two more" thought you meant more than the two positions.
Anyway, also depends who will nominate, the one who did so far is very good, from what I see.

@Wolgwang yeah, decided it's time to step up. :D
Poor SE..... ;)
@ShadowWizardHatesOmicron kewl!
dumb question: why do we let users use bounties to block close votes?

Q: C++ Coroutine - When, How to use?

K.R.ParkAs a novice C++ programmer who is very new to the concept of coroutines, I am trying to study and utilize the feature. Although there is explanation of coroutine here: What is a coroutine? I am not yet sure when and how to use the coroutine. There was several example use cases provided, but it se...

is very clearly opinion answers
@rene Just post a link to the Den on the candidature post.

@Mgetz actually good question
@Mgetz if it is a fresh bounty a mod flag might work.
I can pretty much guarantee it will get rejected if I use a mod flag because there is a valid close reason and they aren't aware of the block. So no point in hurting myself.
I just figured I would ask and see if anyone had any idea or links to meta questions on the topic that they were aware of.

Q: Allow users to vote to close bountied questions

user149432There was an an earlier meta-discussion about allowing moderators to skip the "bounty refund" step when closing a question that was declined, but I wanted to spin off waffles's comments into a separate feature request: I am open to amending some of our close logic to allow for casting close v...

And linked question
Looks like the answer is that users aren't aware enough of the abuse potential to warrant dev work

Do you design software with a big requirements doc upfront or let architecture emerge during agile processes? Is there a middle ground?

Can somebody with 10k+ rep please explain why this post was deleted: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/192008/…?
@RandomPerson Mod-deleted.
@Mithical yeah... but what was the reason for deletion?
I'm not actually sure, but probably because it was old, unanswered, and about a deprecated product.
I actually flagged that post for something else... I didn't expect the post to be deleted
@Mithical is it standard procedute to delete posts about deprecated stuff? I don't think so
there are many posts about the android app which aren't deleted by mods
18:36
@RandomPerson No, but it was old, unanswered, had low activity on it, and we have plenty of posts closed as a duplicate of the "How do I report bugs/request features for the mobile apps" FAQ canonical. Enough that deletion is probably fine on such an old question.
old posts existing isn't evidence that new (or otherwise) ones should too

@RandomPerson No answers, will never get answers + no future value cause the tablet app is even deader than the mobile one + I was retagging a bunch of posts and it wouldn't be bumped if deleted
🐴
Here's an SO-specific meta post that can probably go as well meta.stackexchange.com/q/2606/622284
Has no required tag either.

@Spevacus nom
@RandomPerson there isn't a standard, we just figure out the best way to deal with something as we see it 😁
