@JourneymanGeek maybe status-review for this bug report?

7:15 AM
@bad_coder Do a flag, instead of a chat ping :)

@Tinkeringbell I was thinking: "There must be something wrong in addressing this one mod only." I was probably mislead because several times it was JourneymanGeek who did it.

@bad_coder Flags are just better than chat messages, since they persist longer :)

@bad_coder also the fact that I might not be around :D
I was off fixing what's apparently turned into my "soldering practice keyboard" :D

Heh. The f6 key?

@Tinkeringbell yes

7:41 AM
Not entirely unexpected :P

Well I think that's all and I sorted out most of the details so opening it up is fairly fast
I don't think there's any more faulty keys

Fingers crossed. But if there's no more, how are you going to get more practice?!

Let him just get a random circuitboard and practice

lol
Maybe do kits, or upgrade all the keys to non chinesium ones
I have a project in mind but that'll need a bit of planning, and a little bit of insanity

Those are often the best projects :)

7:58 AM
@JourneymanGeek lol, electrical engineers tend to graduate without soldering anything :)

@bad_coder I know, I dropped out from EE :D

@JourneymanGeek BS!! You studied EE? I suppose you went to CS from there?

@bad_coder No
I eventually, after a lot of falling on my face, got a degree with a dual major in computer forensics, and information security management as well as management.

@JourneymanGeek that's a good field to work in. Math and Physics in EE can kill a guy.

Oh, I mostly do monitoring at the moment, bores me to tears
So... I run servers for fun?
and apparently do switch replacements on keyboards not designed for that :D

8:05 AM
@JourneymanGeek I don't factor in "boring", wish I'd go more than a couple of weeks without leaving my comfort zone.
\o and some more coding for me...

9:11 AM
@Tinkeringbell Did I ever mentioned this thing's made by a brand called.... metoo?

@JourneymanGeek Nope, you didn't :D

they only lack the #

9:47 AM
@Luuklag and reliable switches. :D
I've replaced... 3 so far?

10:13 AM
@JourneymanGeek no that's eye strain

10:25 AM
@JNat another spammer for you stackexchange.com/users/21752730/jackys89

@JourneymanGeek where?

waffles

Your cmd V switch also appears faulty

Naw, I'm just having a bit of a short attention span

@JohnDvorak where's the cross?

what cross?

Crossbow. :D
Favorite weapon for killing people in GoT.

Especially on the porcelain throne

1:54 PM
@JourneymanGeek pretty sure it was wooden. Don't think they had porcelain in GoT. Or did they? ;)

:D
Its a figure of speech
It was probably a privy :D

@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard imdb.com/title/tt2538608

@DavidPostill :P
People actually did it...

That is... something

2:03 PM
Yes they did.
My skin has turned to porcelain, to ivory, to steel. —Sansa Stark[1]
A Storm of Swords, Chapter 61, Sansa V.

I love GoT, and I love toilets, but never thought to combine the two. :D
Sansa... just watched last night the episode where she saves Littlefinger. She grew up fast. :D

I've got the last two books still to read.
And the last 4 series still to watch.

@DavidPostill what's that?
@DavidPostill oh... 10 years old series, was pretty sure anyone who wants to watch it, already did. :/

I never got around to watching them at the time.

But the TV show deviates a lot from the books, or more accurate at some point it just go in its own way as it continue where the books stopped, so don't think you should hold yourself from watching it all just because you didn't read all books yet.

2:11 PM
.... has it been that long?

@JourneymanGeek yeah, it started in 2011. I think? Let me see...
> Original release: April 17, 2011 –; May 19, 2019

@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard I'm not. I have lots of other stuff on my list to watch as well :)
@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard Nice little wiki :)

@DavidPostill ohh, I see. What stuff for example? ;)
@DavidPostill thanks, thought it's related somehow to toilets, didn't find any relation.

@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard Where has the time gone ._.

@JourneymanGeek Black Hole
It sucked the time into it.

2:15 PM
@JourneymanGeek Good question... where does time go to when it has nothing better to do?

@Tinkeringbell to the toilets, duh.
:D

It flies?

Time also has its needs.

@JourneymanGeek To where? At what altitude? Can I see it?

@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard A lot of TV series and films that I missed when they first came out - a whole mixture of genres
I'm having hot flushes. I wonder if that's the 2nd jab kicking in - I had it 48 hours ago

2:21 PM
@DavidPostill ohh... I stopped keeping track long ago. So can't say what I miss and what I don't. ;)
Only exception is Marvell movies; Those I do not miss.

@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard Not my cup of tea

@DavidPostill yes, from what I hear it's very common, wife had it too. But very brief, went on its own after few hours.
@DavidPostill fair enough. Any other "super heroes" genre?
Many times the whole super heroes idea itself appear childish and too "extreme" i.e. not realistic in a very extreme way, but still... looking in the bigger picture, it's nice for me to watch, try to figure out the plot and characters, etc.

@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard No, it's the whole genre I don't really go for

@DavidPostill I see.

2:58 PM
@ShadowTheVaccinatedWizard I'm credited on one of those :D

How advanced is the Smoke Detector actually? Seems pretty advanced to me, eye on all network post activities

@BabaYaga Don't tell the smokedetetor people I said this but... 'meh, it's just regex' :P

@Tinkeringbell i won't tell anyone ;)

@BabaYaga If you've never seen it before, this page of theirs may be a good start :)

@Tinkeringbell thanks for the link!

6:37 PM
@BabaYaga it just calls into findspam.py and we hope it turns up with something useful ....

6:49 PM
@Tinkeringbell >:(
Kidding, you're pretty much right :P

8:32 PM
@BabaYaga Why "Baba Yaga"? You do know who that is, right?

@Ginger I think it's safe to assume that people know what their username means.

Yes...
