@M.A.R. Sorry. They took down the xkcd forums last year because they got hacked. I expected that they'd fix things & the forums would be back online in a few weeks, but that hasn't happened. But here's a Wayback Machine link to that (very long) thread: web.archive.org/web/20151005053230/http://forums.xkcd.com/…
@ShadowKeepsSocialDistance It was "Why Kubernetes getting so popular?" as posted by Feeds, but they corrected it to "Why is Kubernetes getting so popular?". Just a typo.
Relax a little :) No one is going to kick you for asking what seems a pretty good question... But it's weekend so not that many people are around to immediately answer either ;) I don't know why they don't hide the buttons if you're unable to vote in an election though...
@Shree there is this User Experience line of reasoning that you should never hide options in your user interface. The belief is that this help consistency. So when the option is always available you're left with barking error messages at users when they click it. For most of the user interface SE follows the "don't hide UI elements" paradigm. So that is why you have those choice buttons without being able to use them.
@rene Can you please modify your snippet for sites with MathJax to properly check all sites for \$ delimiters or the mhchem extension? Right now, it only checks a few known sites, but not all sites properly.
As an example, Game Development uses \$ delimiters, but your snippet output doesn't indicate so as it doesn't actually check it.
