@DeFazer I don't know, it doesn't usually happen to me, but we all get downvotes sometimes. Be sure to let me know if you think any part of my posts are ever confusing or have any technical issues. Thanks! — Aaron Hall 34 secs ago
I wonder why I'm unpopular with some people. :)
Some hypothesize that downvotes encourage reversal upvotes.

Meta is depressing. I bet people on meta could try to tell you that the sky is purple...
Well, mSO specifically. mSE is better at keeping the sky blue...
Oh, the good argumenter could convince you the sky is any color or all of them at once,
6:51 PM
A purple sky might be impossible.
@bjb568 Think about it.
Well, because of Rayleigh scattering, the sun's light is going to tend to be pushed toward purple. So really, the sky is purple.
You cannot push something “more towards purple”. There is no such spectral frequency.
You would have to scatter frequencies both above and below green at the same time. I find this unlikely.
Pease see “Human color vision and the unsaturated blue color of the daytime sky” by physicist Glenn S. Smith in his refereed journal article from 2005 in the American Journal of Physics.
> The usual answer to the question ‘‘Why is the sky blue?’’ is based only on Rayleigh scattering from the molecules in the atmosphere and makes little mention of the contribution of color vision. We supplement this answer with a quantitative discussion of the role color vision plays in determining the appearance of the daytime sky.
> The anatomy of the human eye is reviewed, and its response as a function of wavelength is described via the spectral sensitivities of the cones. Color matching is examined for a mixture of monochromatic lights and for the spectrum of the daytime sky.
> The spectral irradiance of skylight is shown to be a metameric match to unsaturated blue light. A simple experiment is described suitable for classroom use or a student project.
The sky is not blue.
Your mind assigns it a color that is a metameric match to unsaturated blue light based on the tristimulus response of the human vision system.
Hope this helps. Have a nice non-blue day.
I knew my argument was wrong, not least because the sky isn't purple.
7:07 PM
There is no scattering of red under normal conditions. Therefore, it cannot be purple because you cannot have purple without red.
Yeah, I know.
Probably you should have written violet.
But honestly, read the paper because I believe you would enjoy it.
You’re welcome.
On a related note, El Labarinto del Fauno is great.
7:09 PM
I don’t know that word.
Is it about working?
If so, it should have labor in it not *labar.
Oh, you mean a maze.
That’s laberinto.
This proves you are not internalizing the five unvarying vowels of Spanish but are pronouncing Spanish words in your head as though they were English.
It’s a subtle thing, perhaps, but important.
Listen to these two for good examples. The American speaker is a bit more sing-song, but you will clearly hear all vowels in both.
The Spanish woman is saying the word more like you would say it in conversation; the American woman is saying it more like you would say it in isolation when you’re trying to make sure your listener knows which word you are saying.
And definitely checkout the full sentence of Vivimos en un laberinto mágico, limitados por nuestros cinco sentidos there; isn’t that cool?
I have a question: does labyrinth suggest something more “magical” to you that does maze? I ask for reasons of Stack Exchange.
10
Q: Difference between "Labyrinth" and "Maze"

SF.I know the two are pretty much synonymous: labyrinth a complicated irregular network of passages or paths in which it is difficult to find one’s way; a maze maze a network of paths and hedges designed as a puzzle through which one has to find a way a complex network of path...

I am unfamiliar with the notion of a labyrinth being somehow more magical, but suspect there is meme contamination occurring here.
I fear that I have become a victim of semantic satiety and can no longer think of the question without contamination.
So I am requesting the aid of your virgin ears.
