His everything confuses me.
> Ascendit a terra in coelum iterumque descendit in terram et recipit vim superiorum et inferiorum
yay me for cool latin phrase
@Braiam Having the bare text won't make his problems any less inane. At least this way it has nice looking formatting, heh.
@Braiam Et iterum venturus est cum gloria, judicare vivos et mortuos: cujus regni non erit finis.
@JasonC Mousey don’t like no pissels. Wants grabbles textexes.
Which of those two is the more intelligible, I leave to you.
@JasonC well, I had to strain my eyes to read the image, so...
overthrow all the nice looking things!
Lol, the "infamous 'cannot load main class start' thing".
17:04
@tchrist I understand the first part, the later, not a chance
@Braiam Really? Then you’re doing it wrong: just click on the images!

Why would you want this? — Braiam 30 secs ago
To close or not to close that infernal question: whether ’tis gentler on the dingbats to suffer the strings and classes of outrageous coding, or to take arms against a sea of errors and close them forthwith that one might thereby consign it back to the shadow whence it came: it cannot pass.
It's such a lovely day here. Not seen the weather this nice in ages.

I'm going to stay inside and code.
@Unihedro You should do sports.
No. Sorry.
17:13
yes
so fun
I suggest revoking his megacephalous username.
and keeps you in shape
@Frank Like bug hunting and fishing for test failures?
3
If you're going to stay inside all day, at least do something more productive than coding. I'm sure there's a lot of good nuclear explosions, train wrecks, and Russian car accident videos just waiting to be watched on YouTube.
@tchrist Active sports...
@JasonC yeah, those are fun
17:15
@JasonC Yeah, and people ranting.
Hey, new video on adoseofbuckley
@Frank Like your maid, I don’t do Windows.
@hichris123 Room owner is active. She doesn't kick kitty because he seems to have abandoned Project Borkey for now.
5
Wait, not that kind of Active.
!!find unihedro
Hmm.
17:16
@tchrist what maid?
My maid actually does clean my windows. Frank may be paying his too much.
@InfiniteRecursion I always forget that I can kick-mute people. Not sure it’s worth the momentary respite.
catharsis
@tchrist You haven't met bjb's bot botling yet. It will cure your catharitis for good.
17:19
@InfiniteRecursion My Cathars are not inflamed, let alone crusading.
Somebody push tchrist's control rods back in, we're going to have a pun meltdown here soon.
@tchrist You need to endure that programming gem (bjbotling as the maker calls it) for a while. It cures healthy people as well.
@JasonC hehe I did too, but my rational was that I didn't know how to spell knob.
Lol!
high five
17:22
I still can't believe it isn't doornob.
high fives
@ProgramFOX Oh nice! So you got it work?
@bjb568 I still can't believe you didn't know how to spell. Ur inglish iz incridible!!
@tchrist It still matched some of the all-caps-but-not-really things, but I liked the lib anyway, so it looked like a good idea to use it.
Please unleash the botling for a while. Tchrist needs to see it :)
It’s really much better than the bundled one.
17:24
But when pulling, SmokeDetector broke so we'll have to wait for Undo to see what went wrong.
@ProgramFOX :O
I'm afraid something went wrong during the import -- Undo got an error during the install, but I got an error too and it still worked, but my error was different so I think the lib doesn't yet work on his server :/
@InfiniteRecursion How could he not know how to spell? There’s an instruction manual:
> Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the caldron boil and bake;
Eye of newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder's fork and blind-worm's sting,
Lizard's leg and howlet's wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Cool it with a baboon's blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.
That one’s in hex, though.
@ProgramFOX I have no python pkg-mgmt fu.
bjb will make Shakespeare proud :D
Haha, I looked up cuz I thought I saw a magma cube...
was just one of the kids
17:30
Good night!

But it can fork() for 1..100.
I leave it to you to determine how many chainsaws that makes. :)
ha, but you can only use one at a time.
And I will be throwing apples into your face..
and tripping you..
I live in Colorado.
Does Colorado not have apples?
No, just that we are used to tripping.
For the record, that’s 1,267,650,600,228,229,401,496,703,205,376 chainsaws reducing you to sawdust.
17:44
@tchrist still one at a time

It’s on automatic. :)

@tchrist hahaha
funny visual there
17:47
Hey Frank come swimming in my chainsaw pool. Don't worry, it's safe, there are no humans in it.
I hate it when humans climb me. But cats are the worst. They dig right in with their claws, and then they proceed to catch and eat the radios...

Q: Whitelist the <span> tag with the lang= attribute, in order to support Han characters

senshinCurrently, <span> tags are not on the whitelist of allowed HTML tags. The lang= attribute also is not permitted anywhere. Sorry to interrupt you, guys. Will you please tell me what the format of posts in the Closevotes room is? Its description instructs me to ask here.
@bjb568 ^
17:50
@Palec CV type plus slash and off-topic reason id if applicable, then the short link.
@bjb568 Just wondering, why is exactly that syntax necessary?
@Palec If you just have a few, you can post 'em in here.
^ from those values
@ProgramFOX coz
@Frank You are Cthaeh and I claim my £5.
@Palec Most of us are unable to understand it. Good luck with that :)
17:52
@tchrist I'll give you $5
Accepted.
@tchrist you can't accept until someone actually posts an answer..
@InfiniteRecursion Guess I’ll handle that.

haha, hit'n'run fender bender out the window - so better than tv...
@bjb568 Thanks, I played a little with Firebug, SEDE and took some random posts from Closevotes room and I believe OffTopic/<reason-id> takes ids from the CloseAsOffTopicReasonTypes table: data.stackexchange.com/stackoverflow/query/203218/… Am I right?
yea
@Frank Ikr. There's a big accident monthly at the intersection in front of my house. Always much stupid involved. It's great fun.
My favorite was when this guy ran a red light and t-boned an innocent cab, and these two super bitchy girls got out of the cab, immediately yelled at the (unconscious) cab driver, took some selfies with the accident in the background, and walked away.
and then you called the cops/ambulance?
Well yeah I called the cops right away and ran down to check on the driver.
18:24
@JasonC Ouch. A friend saw a similar one. A driver ran a red light in a T intersection and crashed straight into a police car. :)
Haha, sad trombone.
the thing with horses is they won't run straight into a tree
so maybe it'd be better to give cars horse intelligence instead of human intelligence?
Hehe, in college, when I lived in Pittsburgh, I lived on this really long steep hill with a T intersection at the bottom and some trees across the street, and me and my friends used to sit down there with lawn chairs and beer in the winter and watch people fail and slide into the trees. Way better than YouTube.
Got a few smiles but mostly a lot of dirty looks.
Haha, not as violent as I expected, but lol.
18:30
@terdon clickbait title, didn't even see anyone fall
the horse stopped before the tree trunk, maybe touched a few branches is all
such fraud
Needs moar girl-impaled-on-tree-branch.
@JasonC yeaaaaaaah!
18:34
@Roombatron5000 more than I can say for her though :)
But here's a more clear-cut one:
Lol wat
@terdon looking for food? or just wants to cuddle?
That looks more like a glitch in the universe's collision detection.

I'm going to just kick Jason C for April Fools'. All day. I'll make up a plausible rationale for it later.
I will participate in the Fool's day celebrations too ^
You need to take a bigger picture approach to problem solving. For example, if I post cats high fiving, blame bjb, not me. Cure the disease, not the symptoms.
blames bjb for everything
@JasonC Starred for future reference
but... cat pictures! :(
Actually, I guess the real problem is that cats exist. But fortunately, we have microwaves as a solution for that.
18:59
Can I see my own deleted answers somewhere?
I temporarily deleted one so I could work on it the other day and now I forget where it is.
@JasonC There should be a link to your recently deleted ones in your profile.
Errr.... oh yeah there it is, thanks.
Have to click "more" under answers then its down at the bottom.
Where's Jan?
19:01
@Jan Where are you?

Jan name should end in oo...
Eh, glad to see you're still online. Bye.
@Unihedro Why are you awake?

@InfiniteRecursion because he's not sleeping
He could be sleep-chatting.
@Roombatron5000 Is he having nightmares about Jan?

Somewhere down the line the JS room meeting pointed out that Jan has been inactive, and in awareness I realized that I don't recall seeing Jan on either, so I asked
Sorry for that. I really should return to the JS room.
I'm always watching, even when I'm asleep, so. :p
@hichris123 meh, abusive
19:26
@bjb568 u flagged suspended?
Abusive?!
Yeah no
meh
Uh....
Where did you get abusive from that????
Shouting at wall. But we're not wall.
... you've shouted at the wall before. Therefore I should flag you as abusive?
19:32
@hichris123 Yes.
brb flagging bjb
Ha, @bjb568 did you get your mail server working? I just looked in my open Eclipse window and I still have this project open that sends you fake emails.
I want to use it one more time before I close it. Maybe I'll DOS your mailbox with huge attachments.
@bjb y no dupes?
@JasonC nope
@Unihedro needs more complicated syntax for dup targets
How about I make it send you an email every 30 seconds, forever. That way you can tell when you have it working. It's very helpful.
19:36
@JasonC great, I still won't have any messages…
iirc the format was to help bots, but bots should be able to decide whether to implement caring about dupes vs ignoring
@JasonC "helpful"
@JasonC Sounds fun! I wanna try it
@Unihedro just more complicate.
If that much effort was put into it, it's rare enough for tavern anyway.
How long will you run it for?
19:37
Forever. I'll put it on my server.
I'll redirect it to null in the morning.
@Braiam Do you think this would fly on AskUbuntu?
There you go @bjb568, I just sent you 100 emails containing ASCII penises of varying length. It says they're queued. You'll get them some day.
:P
Diversity, I guess.
@rene there are at least 3 dupes in SO
and the problem seems unrelated to the emulator
19:49
He linked to one so he is aware of that?
@Unihedro pastebin.com/Kh8vmD7L Adjust to taste.
and the only question from AU is simply that his platform is just not supported askubuntu.com/questions/490237/…
Ok, thanks.
and he already asked the same question askubuntu.com/q/596044/169736
sights silently
I would say that SO has better possibilities of figuring out what causes the issue, since there are more java/javafx devs around
OK

Funny, I talked with Undo, Doorknob, and Unihedro in other rooms, and I've seen J. Musser around, probably because he/she/it (in the event it is a bot) is a moderator.
Seems reasonable.

A: English equivalent of "garam" (warming) food?

Paritosh BhatiaAggravating. "Garam" in this context does not really mean the food is hot or spicy. It refers to food that is aggravating to our system. Almonds are hard to digest so it overworks our digestive system. The use of the word "Garam" is not wrong because the stomach needs to heat up to sufficient te...

nicaelI'd like to see the similar dropdown to the one which appears when you click "help" in the top bar... but for the "review" link. A: Can we have review queues expanded from the review link when hovering it?

nicaelTo satisfy my desire, I made a user script, which makes the drop down appear below the "review" link when you hover it.
