@JanDvorak curiosity killed the duck?

I thought only cats were in danger?

@bjb568 just how many clueless people use google?

[ SmokeDetector ] All-caps title: ORACLE APEX ERROR ORA-06512 by Carl Robinson on stackoverflow.com

Kudos if you get the reference

I give you kudos, or you give me?

@Unihedro XKCD

Quick question on offensive flags..

you know... at the end... everything is a reference to xkcd

8:15 PM
(rolls eyes) why not both?

When I flag a question as offensive...
and the owner self-deletes it... that marks the flag as helpful?

note: there's no offensice flag
@Vogel612'sShadow yep

Yes but no penalty

interesting...
thanks ;)

If it gets a rollback it's disputed IIRC

A: Which markdown should be used for filename of code

Josh CaswellBolding is fine, though I think that the header markup you've used may be a little too forceful. Large text could help, though, if you had a lot of (hopefully small!) snippets in your post. I'm not sure we need a standard for this: use what makes your post most easily read and understood. I will...

I knew that code formatting for filenames is overhated... why the hell?

8:38 PM
On unrelated note, this is valid Java:
http://about:blank
if (true) {
    System.exit(0);
}

oooh, the label comment thingie strikes again. How cute.

@Unihedro mm... you mean that runs or that doesn't issue a warning

Both
@JoshCaswell Should XML files of an Android project not be wrapped in code formatting then? They may be part of the program (an essential one), but are not executable. — Unihedro 4 mins ago
I feel proud for that comeback.
Good night!

Question for those with better memory: how does one learn that 2+2=4? Is it shown by means of some example with 2 apples, and 2 more apples being 4? Or is there an addition table to memorize?

8:53 PM
what does this have to do with memory

You mentally regroup (..)(..) to (....)
For larger numbers, you count on your fingers.
No addition table.

Sam
@bjb568 It's the British version of what Americans call "Walmart".

ah
@Unihedro Adults can't remember their childhood.

Clearly one learns 2+2 this way.

user259867
Reference to memory means I don't remember how I was taught this, hence the question...

8:55 PM
@Fundamental Both? Too long ago...

user259867
@bjb568 It's a joke.

I get it.

user259867
@anorton Yes, I was thinking of that question. When the top answer says that others are misleading/confusing, and other answerers disagree, because they answer a different interpretation of the question... What to think of the whole Q&A?

reopen?

user259867

I want to edit it first, just don't know how.

@Sam my new car

@JanDvorak Yeah, I sold the other to some guy, Obama or something.

lol

:P

Sam
9:05 PM
Night!

fun fact: in my country, ink cartridges cost more than the printer with the cartridges included...

@Sam Night!

@Braiam same for most contries

@Braiam same here - which is why you should go laser

9:07 PM
all employees of my old office have printers
@bjb568 nah, if we imported the suckers we would be losing (HP)

user259867
@Braiam Are the cartridges included with the printer of the same capacity as those sold separately? Sometimes they have less ink.

no, it's just overpriced.

@Fundamental we printed more pages with the ones included (granted, we suspected that the ones sold separately were refilled instead of new)

Q: Why the positive bonus rep is so red in the reputation tab?

nicaelI noticed that (un)accepts... ...and bounties... are red there. Why to make all the rep received from bonuses RED?! I understand unaccepts - they give negative rep gain and therefore logically made red (on any SE site). But why accepts are with red background? It should be green, that's ...

user259867
@nicael Since you pay attention to pixels... why post screenshots that are hundreds of pixels too large?

9:20 PM
They are shiny :) and the bigger the redder

So tempted to post "Why does your site look so bad on inverted colors" on Drupal Meta..

I don't see it... :D

@nicael add tag design

Yep thx

user259867
That's the thing with Bitcoin: fuzzy boundary between LQ questions and spam.

Maybe...

@JanDvorak guessing no

@JanDvorak apparently he was asking people for bitcoins...

user259867
Whatever that "race" was about, it's over now.

@Fundamental we were so sure that racing in the tavern was wrong...

user259867
I see "Asda" on the starboard, looks like a typo.

Wow, this dude and his dog

9:49 PM

@bjb568 at least trees try to be polite sometimes tho

A: Send data from iOS app to HTML5 website

JZL003What I highly reccomend is Google Apps Script, which can do exactly that easily with no server (you use Google's servers) and it's free. But, you have to know JavaScript (I can help a good amount because I just finished doing this) I'm going to assume when you POST (what it's called when you giv...

How nice, @jzy made a motivational poster featuring me! I think it says something about working hard together. http://t.co/H3Oxs0zR4h

user259867
Nice indeed. Now about those CSS bugs...

10:12 PM
@Fundamental you know how much motivation you need to fix css bugs?!?!?!

Not much.
It's fun for me!

@AstroCB famous last words?

@Braiam Indeed.

Never mind, found the answer on cooking.SE

What's a good file uploader service?

But... I just woke up
From the coldness, so I discovered / invented a lifehack to keep the apartment warm
Wrap all the windows with aluminium foil to keep the apartment warm #LifeHack!!!!!!

user259867
Why not with plastic?

@Fundamental I don't have plastic foil.

Ooh should I just self-host the file?

10:50 PM
@hichris123 Good idea. Ad-free solution, your users will love it.

user259867
@hichris123 Depends on what the file is. I put them in the dropbox. But they are not a dump of all SE.

Now if you excuse me giving my revelation to keeping the apartment warm, I'm going back to sleep.

@Fundamental It's just the torrent. meta.stackexchange.com/questions/224873/…

@hichris123 "good" as in?

@Unihedro Doesn't steal your info? :P
I dunno.
Reputable?
