Hmmm, I just coded something to output an error, couldn't figure out why it wasn't showing up, then realized I never finished building the error handling class and that the function just returns false always.

Say @animuson, is the counts of "other" flags still that high?

Currently 929.

I don't know. I was curious about that too.
Seems more like a rant than a valuable contribution, though.

Myeah, I don't know if I should call that sad or sick .

8:44 PM
voted to undelete and upvoted.

Sigh, of course you would @LaszloPapp. Why doesn't that surprise me.

meh, it is not only your opinion existing and being the complete truth.
on the contrary, he did not call your opinion "sad" or "sick". Please be respectful.

Respectful ... did you read the answer at all @LaszloPapp?

yes, he criticizes how things work because he does not agree about it. It is completely fine.
and actually the redeletion of the post makes me blog about it.
it is odd that opposite and "bad" opinions cannot be raised and heard about the site.

"This is a very, very dangerous man." <-- that's entirely fine then? Just to get an idea of your definition of "respectful" and "fine" here.

8:49 PM
yes, it is.

It's a rant and barely even related to the question at hand, which specifically talks about the off-topic close reason.

he thinks that it is dangerous for the quality of the site.

Great. So now I know where to put your point of view and how to value your input.

meh, you have never cared other than arguing.
why did I even unignore you

That's a question only you can answer. I'd say you missed me.

8:51 PM
three people did not accidentally vote for undeletion ...

Nor did the OP accidentally vote for deletion.

not that it is new that SO is not democractic. :/

nor is this argument productive in any way

Hey, Jeff stated as much in a blog post years ago. That's hardly a surprising statement really.

yes, critics are never productive for the "SO people".

8:53 PM
@LaszloPapp Wait...you argued earlier that you should have the right to vote close a question by yourself. Now you want democracy?

no matter how many experts have been leaving and raising the same sad facts.
@Andy: I have never argued about close a question on meta myself, no, do not lie.

You did of course listen to the recent podcast, right?

and in fact, this was not even a question, but answer with an own opinion.
which three people decided to undelete.

You have a lot of exceptions to your arguments then.

you have a lot of misinterpretation I would say.
but of course you are more than very welcome to show where I claimed "tag experts should close questions on meta".
I am afraid you will not find any place, no matter how much you want it.

8:57 PM
P.s. link us to that blog post, will you.

You're right @LaszloPapp, you are now very clear that meta should be democratic and respect all voices, but SO proper should not.
I'd love to continue this conversation, but I must catch my ride home.

even that is false.

So, until another time, all. Have a good <time of day>

Cya @Andy

respect all voices is a must have anywhere in my values.
delete all the negative comments here, too: meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/257868/…
because they are against SO LOL
the SO censorship LOL

9:03 PM
And delete all the evidence that your argument holds no ground?
/me wonders if I should have ended that with a LOL

@Bart are you sure? LOL

If there's one thing I'm sure of @hichris123, then it's that I'm never sure of anything. And even that I can't state with full certainty.
LOL

... so then how can you be sure of that?
LOL

@hichris123 LOL.

Hey @Doorknob. Good to have you with us regular folk again.

9:10 PM
greetings

@Bart Us blue people aren't that weird...
except for bluefeet. ;)

:o Someone upvoted me past 77,777! Where are they! I will whack them with a giant 7!

Oh, that's right @hichris123, you're one of them as well. I guess I should leave now. All the sparkle is too much.

Must be FISH

@animuson ReferenceError: undefined constant YII

no, should be TROUT

Which is derived from FISH

but as awesome as jQuery :P

9:17 PM
Moar TROUT!

Q: Read only linked for questions linked for meta

Benjamin GruenbaumI'm going to keep this short, since I believe we've all seen this so: People come here and complain about their question/answer/goat, or another's question/answer/goat That suddenly gets the said question/answer/goat a flurry of votes. Which in turn both skews the natural flow of events and mak...

@LaszloPapp what we spoke of last time

@BenjaminGruenbaum: ok, thanks, but I do not think meta is the right place to discuss it.

so where?

9:58 PM
I do not see any useful place, sadly.

Well, the idea was to get to understand if people care

it is mostly irrelevant for the SO people whether people care, but you can try.
I have had enough of "people cared, but nothing changed" threads.

Yeah, I hate those, I have one of those with +115 in meta.se

I'm really confused how this answer even remotely answers the question. Am I totally missing something or is that just way off-base?
