@Stijn you're fighting a battle that doesn't need to be fought. He's forming a naturally-sounding title, not crap like "[petapoco] how to temporary table"
@Anna So I should change all my questions to "How can I do X in C#?" then? I believe that the consensus was that appending "in ..." is still considered to be adding a tag in the title?
@Stijn PetaPoco (which I haven't even heard of until now) seems kinda specialised, so mentioning it in the title seems warranted. Not so for C#, which is, like, ubiquitous.
I guess I pay more attention then when browsing the question list then, I always read the tags. Oh well no point in discussing this any further then I suppose.
@michaelb958 I prefer consistency, I either try to always follow a rule or I don't follow it at all. It avoids discussions like "why was X fine on this question but not on my question?"
The Glasgow Ice Cream Wars were conflicts in the East End of Glasgow in Scotland in the 1980s between rival ice cream van operators, over lucrative drug distribution territory. The conflicts involved daily violence and intimidation, and led to the deaths by arson of several members of the family of one ice cream van driver and a consequent court case that lasted for 20 years. The conflicts generated widespread public outrage, and earned the Strathclyde Police the nickname the "serious chimes squad" (a pun on Serious Crime Squad) for its perceived failure to address them.

@Pëkka I don't think that "lol" was the intended reaction. The guy answered the question (with a link-only answer, what's more), then unilaterally closed it.
Also, the badge thresholds on Unity Answers seem kinda low. For instance, Famous Question (gold) requires a question to get 500 views. There are eight people with Famous Question for every person with Supporter.
...which, now that I think a bit harder, is a pretty good indicator of there being some problem.
@Shog9 I flagged an answer a few days ago because it had an off-topic comment chain. It looks like the flag got handled (all comments are removed) but my flag is still active. I don't know how easy it is to find a specific flag? Post in question is stackoverflow.com/questions/619895/…
I'm so glad these transcripts are preserved for posterity. The wealth of information contained within them, and the insights in current day society it will provide to future generations is invaluable.
@DroidDev Heh, I did use Google Translate, but typed "gulden middenweg" which translates to "golden mean" while apparently "de gulden middenweg" translates to "the happy medium" :)
@ShadowWizard they know about my this little activity, so they don't mind and there is always something, that doesn't make sense, if you translate chinese with google
I was looking at the new APIs introduced in Android 4.2. While looking at the UserManager class I came across the following method:
public boolean isUserAGoat ()
Used to determine whether the user making this call is subject to
teleportations.
Returns whether the user making this ...
I am a fairly novice programmer, with not much technical knowledge, but I wonder why they are running the origin of most of these websites on older engine
@Pëkka Have they tried beating their kids? It works fine in many countries and kids also respect their parents when they get older, and understand why they were beaten up earlier.
See this question in stackoverflow Phonegap navigation bar not showing up
both question and answer are same thers is no difference in that anyway he accept the answer. Is that good one.
@shadow wizzard, i realized that as soon as I did it. It does bother me that the title has nothing to do with the problem, but I definitely could have worded it better.
@AShelly not sure, it's like changing code in a question to "fix" it. In those cases of off topic questions to begin with that can't be salvaged, better let it be and just close/delete it when possible.
@TGMCians yeah, because of the split. But we do have "This question does not appear to be about the software that powers the Stack Exchange network within the scope defined in the help center" which is totally correct. :-)
I like @Bart's version, except it repeats itself at the end. Just conclude with "I don't think we need tags that encapsulate all those product.. Should they go?"
@TCPMAN Ah, gotcha. I was making a Teen Girl Squad reference. One of them gets thrown down a bottomless pit, and says "when you fall down a bottomless pit, you die of starvation."
