8:05 PM
Haha, @Bart. I just read a question like that.
"These two things solve my problem. How do they work?"

Ha @jadarnel27. At least he found those and they're not his own questions.
Gah, whenever I write C# I have this suspicion I'm just horrible at it. I get it to work though, but it feels dirty.

8:20 PM
what's your language of choice, @Bart?

C++ mostly. But at the moment it switches between C++, C#, Lua, Javascript ... it's a mixed bag

I feel the same way about C++ but I suspect that's mostly because I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.

Coming from C++, C# feels familiar to an extent. But I never sat down to really learn in. So most of my code probably is still very C++-like. Whenever I see stuff like LINQ for example, I'm easily lost.

@Bart Try switching between C# and VB.NET just for fun...

What definition of "fun" is this @jadarnel27? :)

8:26 PM
I think just about everyone gets lost on LINQ the first time they see it.

@gnomeslice The only one I've heard of is Tycho :)

@BlueIce Tycho is great.
He just released a new album.

They're pretty good.

"Awake"
@BlueIce It's just one guy.

@Bart LINQ is rather easy: let intellisense display a list of options and pick whatever sounds like you're trying to do
At least that's how I'm doing it

8:35 PM
Tell that to MonoDevelop @JeroenVannevel.

@gnomeslice non-gender specific singular pronoun

Scott Hansen (born 1976/1977), professionally known as Tycho, is an American ambient music artist and producer, who is known as ISO50 for his photographic and design works. Tycho is currently signed to, and has released under, Ghostly International, but has also released music on Merck Records and Gammaphone Records. His music is a combination of downtempo vintage-style synthesizers and ambient melodies. The style of his music is very organic, typically incorporating clips the human element into his songs (I.E. weather broadcasts, simple talking, or even breathing). [http://tychomusic.co...

Mmm. Neat.
@gnome I also listen to Air and Aphex Twin - in that genre.

Aphex Twin and Tycho are not really in the same genre. :P

You tell me, man :)

8:37 PM
@BlueIce I think you would probably like Rameses B
He signed with monstercat though, so his new releases are coming through them

Huh. I'll listen to him when I get home.
@gnome I'll tell you what I think of his music :)

8:50 PM
@Bart I think you meant to ping @rene with that last message =)
Though I'm glad that I'm on your mind.

Nah, you're my goto @rene translator @jadarnel27. I never get what he's saying.

Ah. That's fair.
I would describe what rene suggested doing as "horrifying," rather than fun. But that's because I just hate writing VB.NET.

@ShadowWizard no, I am not that shallow - on that note, bye

If I wouldn't laugh at every mistake I make I would feel miserable after 30 minutes @jadarnel27
So I have a lot of fun, every day :-)
Please translate that for Bart

9:01 PM
It's code-golf. How can I be sure that's not actually a solution in his favourite language?

It is too long for brainf*ck

Lol, it's a valid program in a multitude of languages: GolfScript, HQ9+, Whitespace, BF, etc

Hey, @Bart. @rene was basically saying he has learned to laugh in order to keep from crying =P

Thanks @jadarnel27. If only I had the ability to laugh, @rene and I wouldn't be all that different.

Oh, @jmac I heard someone say today "I'll get to your questions soon, maybe." :D

9:19 PM
@Doorknob In terms of non-programming languages, it's also valid in Wookiee.

9:45 PM
@gnome I like it :) The piano is nice.

10:23 PM
Witchcraft!

@jadarnel Science!

Yes!

METAAAAAAAAA!

!

!

10:28 PM
@BlueIce His stuff is all pretty chill, I recommend it highly.
One of my favourite producers.

@Gnome Cool. I'll start listening to your daily listening now!

Heh.
I'm starting to run out of stuff.
I have to find new stuff every day now.
I may repost some things though, because nobody listens to it anyway.

11:18 PM
Achmed Saves America - I was really excited to see this. Turned out to be crap.

11:31 PM
@GraceNote Sorry to bother you yet again, but I've been thinking: seriously, why hasn't Code Golf (and Code Review) graduated yet? We have no major problems, and we do have much better stats than some sites like WebApps when it graduated. (I mean really, they only had 3 closers and their highest repped user had 5011.)
Wait, that won't send a notification, will it? I'll comment on the CG meta post instead
