@Spevacus heh, I'd actually be happy to write up a meta post about the markdown disparity, just a matter of whether its something the company would work on
.....
I am brainfarting over what
is called
editor!
Thanks all!
@M.A.R. I posted two answers to a question. This was not specifically to annoy you, unlike this :D
On the one hand, meta's crowd is a bit myopic and dogheaded these days. On the other hand, I don't know what input I want to gain from a guy that frequents Worldbuilding or Biblical Hermeneutics
@JourneymanGeek I guess what I'm saying is, unless I'm missing something, and someone comes along with a surprisingly popular idea that no one has articulated before, everyone, including staff more involved with the community (i.e. Slate et al.), already know what to expect from the answers, and are also privy to why these discussions haven't borne fruit yet.
So is it like a social call, or something on a calendar, like an "Ask the community every quarter to rant profusely like in a therapy session, maybe it'll make them feel better" sort of thing?
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog how you remember my avatar from 2013? I don't even remember my previous avatar.... lol.
So what avatar did I have in 2013? @Sonic
I thought a lot during the night about that question though, and sadly came up with too many conflicts, trying to sort things out internally inside my mind. /cc @Journeyman
There is a hidden message embedded within the below image just below the graphic of Shadow the Hedgehog that cannot be viewed using a normal image viewer. Can you find it?
Hint 1:
Hint 2:
I'm looking for an answer that also clearly explains the trick I used to obscure the text and wh...
And, of course, your adopting the username "Shadow the Hedgehog Wizard" after I made an off-hand comment of how your name reminded me of the Sega character, which in turn inspired me to adopt my current username
@Spevacus I've seen it myself. It's not quite surprising with the added latency because chat runs in GCP but the database is still in the datacenter. That adds an extra 30ms to every SQL query.
We had hoped to only be in that state for a few days, but we hit a snag setting up the infrastructure.
@starball without Smokey that would probably be a good time for ordinary site users to nuke spam on SO. Looks like you finally caught spam that wasn't reported before. ;)
@PetəíŕdtheWizard no it's spam seed and spam post, quite common.
"What have you turned in? This is nonsense." "The dog wrote my homework." "Oh, so you thought you'd just bang on the keyboard... wait did you say 'wrote', not 'ate'?" "Yes."
@AndreascondemnsIsrael I know. Especially if you think about how expensive it is. But it's also one of the few things you can get around here that's 'fast' food :P
@BuckThorn Am already supersized, no worries on that front :P
I live on the edge of a very white bible belt. Falafels are a multi-cultural city thing :P
@BuckThorn I've had a few vegan/vegetarian options. Some were okay (mushroom ragout in kroket/bitterbal is nice enough), some were horrible (like a kroket with a 'vegetable' ragout that had whole peas in them)
I also have a recipe for a dish with tempeh, that's nice enough
And of course lots of food where I can just leave out the meat, like the Chicken Tonight, which is just a jar of sauce and you can throw in everything you like :P
Well I don't have fried balls (or unfried ones that I can fry) at home, so my choices are mushrooms + bell pepper + onion + jar of sauce (and some rice) or a McNugget menu :P
After more than 6 months of availability in the United States, Stack Overflow Jobs, powered by Indeed, is expanding to several new geographic regions in Europe. @Slate rest assured, if I end up writing, it would be in big part thanks to you, normally I wouldn't bother. I mean, that with you I finally know someone will read what I write and treat it, one way or another.
@ShadowWizard Do you like Latvian black bread? It's made from rye, and is usually quite dense. It often contains caraway seeds. I love it with avocado, or cream cheese.
