Yeah, there is a slim chance this user is honestly confused. As long as we don't make it appear as if we welcome these posts, I'm fine.

I think somehow they pasted an SMS to our [Ask Question] instead of sending it to their friend; the length seems approx correct for the length cutoff - there's the background but I think that the actual question is a paragraph or two yet to come.

Looks like merge of some sort, merge doesn't work well with chat.

@SPArcheon can tell from experience.

When two accounts are merged, all the posts/votes are moved over to the "primary" account, and the other account ("sock"?) is deleted. The merge is propagated network-wide, so a similar thing happens on each site. But, this does not happen to the chat user. The "sock" chat user is kept, with a 40...

Ok, I know there's perfectly logical reasons for it but...

Why in the world do people spam on questions that obviously involve staff and have a lot of eyes on it?

I mean, literally, its the worst place to spam

@Rob yeah, the only hard limit is the max char length of Post.Tags (250 chars) as that holds the concat of all tagnames + separators
