How long have the "A year of moderation" posts been going for? There's one from 2016 on SO, but I can't find any earlier than 2018 on the rest of the network

Additionally, what caused them? I can't think of anything notable from 2018 (as it seems that was when they started) that would kick off such an "initiative"

@cairdcoinheringaahing I don't think there's a specific reason, other than it's probably good for the sites to know some data that only CM (or SE staff) can easily dig (with direct internal DB access).

it could be supplementing the 20xx: a year in closing that was only posted on Meta SE anually.

@bobble as a funny side note, that was often the case for me with @Rob and before him with @SPArcheon. But I didn't give up and these days I'm able to understand and communicate properly with them about 40% of the times, which I find impressive. ;)

@Rob it's two sided misunderstanding, I could intervene at real time to prevent it, but now feels like it won't be of any help, maybe only the opposite, i.e. kindling the ashes. And there's a chance for mega irony here, if I'm the one misunderstanding it all, I don't rule this out.
