In the unlikely event that you would need someone who has not yet participated on the site to step up, I would also be willing to do so. I would always yield to a more experienced user on the site, though.

I do hope that the planned election ~4 months from now turns up some candidates. It's... Unfortunate that it's come this far, though.

Why would you edit a complete non-answer just to translate it? It's still a non-answer and should be deleted, no matter the language

You can flag it as NAA

Searching out things just to up your flag count might be frowned on, yes. (Some might still like that and say you were helping to clean up the site). But if you stumble onto a non-answer, the appropriate moderation action for a person of your privilege level is to flag as NAA and move on.

Some people don't like others being able to edit their stuff. Doesn't mean you should stop editing (in moderation, of course, so the front page isn't flooded) to please them.
