@user1271772 Additional feedback: You might consider replacing two or three of your tags with the tag. That tag has more usage while two of the others only have one other question where they are used, also you will free up one or two spaces for an additional tag; such as one offering to review your request, or deny it.

@Rob Thanks for the suggestion. I knew that at least the last tag had only been used once before, but wasn't aware of . I'll have to do this retagging tomorrow since I'm half asleep (it's past midnight here). If you do the re-tagging I'll approve the edit.

Rob
4:41 AM
@user1271772 Done, and done.

2 hours later…
6:12 AM
@M.A.R. you found me!

Not so blurry anymore!

7 hours later…

Test?

:eyes:

Tested.

@Mithical Your eyes look healthy, you're not a real no-sleep person
Inb4 @Journey's having existential problems because he spent too much time as his robot doggie

@M.A.R. someone was reporting issues on chat and it was too quiet 😁
@M.A.R. or lack of sleep

12:59 PM
Jokes on you, I slept for nine hours.
I sometimes do that.

@JourneymanGeek It's a rainy Sunday afternoon, I don't usually chat on those ;)

@JourneymanGeek but Smokey didn't rest...
Any TL;DR for what Shog was discussing yesterday?

1:02 PM
Some things shouldn't be tldred

10 less degrees here, luckily.
@JourneymanGeek even a bit? cries
And... what happened to all the pinned messages??

@Mithical Oof.
It's blanket weather here :D

@Tinkeringbell it's going to get worse, we're in the beginning of the worst heat wave of the year.
In some parts of Israel it will reach 50.
The forecasters looked almost excited yesterday when they reported it, lol
@Tinkeringbell warm, dark, and cozy? As when you're below a blanket? :D

@ShadowWizardWearingMask Just under 20 degrees ;)
With rain, so yeah it's a bit darker than usual.
:D

@ShadowWizardWearingMask I think it's about... bezeled CM?

1:12 PM
@Tinkeringbell brr.... cold!
@MetaAndrewT. bezel who? scratching head
done scratching own head, switching to @M.A.R's head

yeah, CM with bezel

What's bezel? sigh Google
> a grooved ring holding the glass or plastic cover of a watch face or other instrument in position.
So Shog got a grooved ring?

Yeah, he said he's okay with it

Of course, this ring is holding a cover.

@ShadowWizardWearingMask we were talking about the make up of an idealised CM team, and @user1271772's proposal for better comment -> chat migration

1:20 PM
tldred!?

that's closer to an executive summary

@JourneymanGeek For the make up, I'd go with some foundation and some eyeliner, nothing too fancy, maybe add lipstick. For the comment to chat migration, my answer is on MSE :P

@Tinkeringbell .... on a dog?

generally it's done on a pig but you do you

:D
(Professionals, mods or "outsiders" :D )

1:25 PM
@JourneymanGeek Dogs can't be salvaged with make up, so might as well give up ;)

smiling dog is smiling (^v^)

@JourneymanGeek idealised CM team? Easy. Any team where Shog is the head CM.
As for comment -> chat migration is this really so important? It's a useful feature, no doubt, but better improve other features, IMO.
So +1/-1 to the discussion, no vote. :P
@Tinkeringbell no no... please no lipstick... it's too red... ;)

you can actually have more colors of lipstick than just red :P

But you love only red.... :D
Can't see you with a green lipstick, for example.

1:39 PM
sdc green

@ShadowWizardWearingMask You're right ;) I don't wear bright red either though ;)

@ShadowWizardWearingMask lol
Realisitcally idealised :D
hence, RTFC, not TLDR :D

To put "lipstick on a pig" is an expression used to convey the message that making superficial or cosmetic changes is a futile attempt to disguise the undesirable nature of a product. == Etymology == Pigs have long been featured in proverbial expressions: a "pig's ear", a "pig in a poke", as well as the Biblical expressions "pearls before swine" and "ring of gold in a swine's snout". Indeed, whereas the phrase "lipstick on a pig" seems to have been coined in the 20th century, the concept of the phrase may not be particularly recent. The similar expression, "You can't make a silk purse from a sow...
Hopefully there is a better result with other species.

@Rob At least not with monkeys: Even if they wear gold rings, they're still considered ugly in Dutch ;)

Rob
What's wrong with blue @Sha
@Tinkeringbell Inside joke, you may be aware of, that won't be explained.

@Rob oh my. It reached that high?! Poor monkeys...

Rob
Into the deep

@Ollie should know about it as well. :D
Assuming it won't get trashed like the rest of the monkeys..... ;)

Rob
2:03 PM
Gotta be careful with the coconut oil application

@Rob no worry I have a stash.

I too have a 'stache

Rob
Is it blue?

2:22 PM
Think John's is white.
Now that would look weird on a monkey.

@ShadowWizardWearingMask yeah he looks weird

Rob
2:37 PM
@ShadowWizardWearingMask Hey!

How's that monkey called?

Rob
By whistling?

I mean, what's the species' name

Rob
The emperor tamarin (Saguinus imperator) is a species of tamarin allegedly named for its resemblance to the German emperor Wilhelm II. It lives in the southwest Amazon Basin, in east Peru, north Bolivia and in the west Brazilian states of Acre and Amazonas.The fur of the emperor tamarin is predominantly grey colored, with yellowish speckles on its chest. The hands and feet are black and the tail is brown. Outstanding is its long, white beard, which extends to both sides beyond the shoulders. The animal reaches a length of 23–26 centimetres (9–10 in), plus a 35–41.5 cm (13.8–16.3 in) long tail....

ah, thanks!

Rob
2:48 PM

Finally, air so clean! :D

At least we don't have to sweep the Chimney too!

cough
heavy cough
faint

3:21 PM
*splashes water on @MetaAndrewT.'s face*

@Mithical same gets back to you ;)

Finally, clean water! :D

@Mithicali hope you got the joke?

4:19 PM
D'Arvit.
My request to push my draft date off was denied.

:'(

4:43 PM
:(

Can you refuse for religious reasons?
I mean, you always can, but are you allowed to?

4:59 PM
@JohnDvorak I don't qualify for a religious exemption.

@MetaAndrewT. O.o If that user's prostate is located in the location they describe, they indeed have a problem!

5:10 PM
then the problem with unregistered user cannot delete their own question...

It's gone already :)

Rob
5:22 PM
Operation successful.

Operation? ;) Never knew you were a doctor.

@Tinkeringbell I never knew Dr Phil isn't a doctor either ...

Makes sense and good, senseless, television ;)
In other news, I have finally! hunted down the piece of software I used to learn words and definitions back in high school.
Now I can no longer procrastinate.

@DavidPostill ;) I guess that's another way to procrastinate :P

I'll read it later

Perhaps tomorrow. I'm done summarizing the pages I promised I would summarize today. ;)

@Tinkeringbell Inspired by Emmett "Doc" Brown:

Rob
5:59 PM
Richard "Rick" Sanchez is one of the two eponymous protagonists from the Adult Swim animated television series Rick and Morty. Created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon, Sanchez is a misanthropic alcoholic scientist inspired by Emmett "Doc" Brown from Back to the Future and Mister Fantastic from Marvel Comics. Known for his reckless, nihilistic behavior and pessimistic personality, the character has been well received. He is a sociopathic mad scientist who seems to know everything in the universe and thus finds life a traumatizing and pointless experience. However, despite assuming himself to be...

@Rob Ah yeah, screamy cartoon. I don't like screamy cartoons all that much, with some minor exceptions.

Rob
Neither Rick nor Morty scream.
or is that a misspelling of creamy?

This has left a lot of people—most of the Ravelry community—out of the process. Prior to launching the current design, we reached beyond our forums and invited varied gr
That sounds awkwardly familiar XD
@Rob screamy colors ;)
There's a few kinds of screamy cartoons, IIRC rick and morty is also one of those that doesn't mind being screamy over controversial topics ;)
But now I'm using way more words than just screamy :P

@Tinkeringbell I think you're referring to the modern type of cartoon animation where comedians come up with a pretty witty script and the characters make a second joke before you parse the first one
Really, any good recent animation is of this type

Yeah well I haven't much liked any recent animation, so...
I'll take a documentary anytime over those ;)

Rob
6:12 PM
@Tinkeringbell !!/blame cjcannon

@Tinkeringbell Well, if you want something less . . . crude than Rick and Morty, try The Amazing World of Gumball. Aimed at a slightly younger audience, no less humorous, and has the benefit of not having arsehole fans.

@M.A.R. That still doesn't sound like a documentary?

There's often an element of gross out in this type of animation, which makes not liking it pretty normal and even sensible

Rob
It was Ryan's fault, but, well, you know.

@Tinkeringbell I on the other hand like few documentaries.

6:14 PM
That's okay. I'll put you in the 'documentary hater' box ;)

What they tell you can be found more articulately, more elegantly, on a paper online, and it would require less time to go through the important parts.
P.S. often more scientifically accurate too
@Tinkeringbell You hate frigging tomatoes. Nothing can top that, rest assured

Oh, I don't watch them as a replacement for learning.
@M.A.R. :D There's plenty of the room in the tomato hater box.

White noise for crotchet?
Uh, I forgot the color of noises. There was white, and pink, and black?

White noise, or sometimes figuring out if the subject is something I do want to learn more about :)

Everything is worth figuring out!
Except Rick and Morty

6:17 PM
And tomatoes.

And astrophysics
@Tinkeringbell No. ಠ_ಠ
@M.A.R. Mostly because you don't figure out anything in astrophysics
Tomatoes are rich sources of antioxidants.
If there was a recipe for immortality potion, tomatoes would be in it
But no spinach. That's a myth

Rob
Apparently R&M is big in Iran, their Reddit group says so.

@Rob It is
All my good friends love it
@Rob the heck is that

Rob
Their group, one post and one reply.
@Tinkeringbell This is why you dislike tomatoes:
Aug 25 at 16:49, by Tinkeringbell
@Rubiksmoose I've got: 1kg of chicken breast, 500 gr. mushrooms, 1,5 bottle of tomato ketchup, 5 table spoons of sweet soy sauce, 3 tea spoons of brown sugar, 3 tea spoons vinegar, 0,5 liter of canned pineapple (without the fluid, I have no idea why that is measured in liquid units. We usually use a big can), 6 braised onions and 3 tea spoons of sambal.
That's a lot of ketchup, a couple of months worth.

@Rob well no, she mentioned she adds pineapples to the ketchup

Rob
6:26 PM
and 6 onions.

To come up with ketchup sauce. Then add some onions, make it a ketchup sauce sauce

Rob
For people with the surname, see Saucier (surname). A saucier (French pronunciation: [sosje]) or sauté chef is a position in the classical brigade style kitchen. It can be translated into English as sauce chef. In addition to preparing sauces, the saucier prepares stews, hot hors d'œuvres, and sautés food to order. Although it is often considered the highest position of the station cooks, the saucier is typically still tertiary to the chef and sous-chef. == Escoffier definition == In Georges Auguste Escoffier's system of the classic kitchen brigade, outlined in his Guide Culinaire, the saucier...

@ShadowWizardWearingMask see what?

we played "who's keeping their hand on the electric fence longer" with the kids from the farm on the other side of the field when I was young.
Maybe that explains the ADHD

Uhhhh...

I mean, it was possibly a small dose as well :P
