> When the crash occurred, on camera for everyone in the JPL mission control room in Building 230 to see, I was sitting next to the Director of JPL, Charles Elachi, and the NASA Deputy Associate Administrator for Planetary Science. I'm really glad that when the crash occurred they didn't both glare at me!
@JourneymanGeek I recall there being a question (maybe in 2018 or 2019?) on MSE about where to ask questions about SLURM, which was quite detailed in the research, in that it counted how many times the SLURM tag was used on SO, SU, ServerFault, Ubuntu and other places. However I can't find the post anymore. In case it was deleted, I wonder if you could check? I think I don't have enough rep to.
the reason I'm asking is because it's come up in a chat room on StackOverflow with a mod over there named Cody Gray
Deleted posts will never show up on search, unless you have enough reputation (10K) to see deleted posts. Then you can add "deleted:yes" or "deleted:1" to the search, and it will show you your own deleted posts.
It was too old to be under 'recently deleted posts' on your profile as well.
;) There's this thing in the Netherlands where almost every employee gets a 'Christmas package' from their employer. And there's this thing where every employee that gets such a package complains about the contents :P
Pandemic might've been more topical, I guess (from the card) the idea behind this one is that you can use the board game, mint tea and dark chocolate to make a cozy evening with family.
At least this year I can drink the tea and eat the chocolate, the previous two years we got a 'rituals' package with shower foam, soap, and body lotion that I couldn't use because it's too perfumed
Zwarte Piet (pronounced [ˈzʋɑrtə ˈpit], Dutch for "Black Pete"; Luxembourgish: Schwaarze Péiter, Indonesian: Pit Hitam, West Frisian: Swarte Pyt) is the companion of Saint Nicholas (Dutch: Sinterklaas, West Frisian: Sinteklaas, Luxembourgish: Kleeschen, Indonesian: Sinterklas) in the folklore of the Low Countries. The character first appeared in an 1850 book by Amsterdam schoolteacher Jan Schenkman. Traditionally, Zwarte Piet is black because he is a Moor from Spain. Those portraying Zwarte Piet usually put on blackface and colourful Renaissance attire in addition to curly wigs and bright r...
@Catija can you please mark this as spam? This will feed the automated anti spam system with that site, hopefully. (asking since you deleted it in the ordinary route)
btw, not asking for upvotes, but if someone actually know the answer to this odd question I posted on Arqade (been something I wondered for a while, doubt anyone knows but why not), here is the link
Usually game secrets in that era required to do odd things like "collect the seven rainbow gems and the final island is unlocked", but to actually use codes is weird even back then.
@Shadow10YearsWizard Then 1,2,1,2 is all I've seen for the config menu. There is an advanced config apparently - At the Title Screen, press 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1+2
But that's all my interwebs resurch mad skillz can find. EVen on archive.org
Didn't they have to increase their swag supply? In between the discontinuation of the prior swag program and today, SE re-valued question upvotes at 10 instead of 5, making an increase in the number of 100k+ and 250k+ rep users.
