those ^ can all have delete votes now (/cc @ShadowWizard @Bart @JourneymanGeek @TravisJ)
Hmm, an upvote here ... something fishy?

WoaAahHh~ underline everywhere... except chat.se

chat. chat never changes...

Yeah, I call it ugly and nostalgia ... not sure which emotion is stronger

Are you insinuating that chat is war?

8:45 AM
Overline needs some love too...

@rene all gone

thanks

Does that mean that users that live by the chat because the main site has, ahem, nothing to offer to them - even questions worth answering - are evil?

setup all SE Questions feed on chat.se

omg...

A: Underline appearing for hyperlinks

Aaron ShekeyThis is not a bug. It is intended behavior. We've intentionally added underlines to links in posts and comments for contrast and accessibility reasons. Many of our themes' primary colors don't deviate much from the text color itself, so we went with the classic way of showing a link's a link. Ta...

That design and underlined links is indeed old, and I'll say it only here in chat, ugly.
IMO biggest design mistake they made so far.
As someone said in MSO.... it's as bad as using <blink>.
</rant>.
(Was sure it's a bug.)

Hi @Shadow

@ShadowWizard Disagreed. That frame around upvote "buttons" is far, far worse

erm ya.
Not a fan

My headcanon is that the frame is a passive-aggressive way for the dev team to discourage comment upvoting - in preparation of eventually discontinuing comments entirely.

I ... don't mind the underlines. But it does look weird in cases like e.g. this comment meta.stackexchange.com/questions/314275/… to have an underlined link next to a link to a profile that isn't underlines...

@JohnDvorak huh? What frame?
@πάνταῥεῖ hola! Busy... just answered @rene's summoning and ranted a bit about ugly links.... all good? :D

9:07 AM
"all good?" Mhhh, biased. I came home from my trip to Ireland yesterday. comforting myself with a bit of whiskey and beer. I anyway got another week of holidays staying at home.

9:18 AM
@ShadowWizard That blue thing that appears when you upvote a comment
@πάνταῥεῖ If you need a little extra time away from the Internet, don't hesitate to tell us :P
The underlines do have an objective upside - they make it easier to spot the occasional steganospam.

9:38 AM
@JohnDvorak I never been staying away. They have free WLAN all around, and I've got a tablet ya know :-P

The place I stayed in in Slovakia advertised free WiFi. But it turned out that it was being managed by Telecom and down for the time being. I had been given access to the office WiFi, but flooding that WiFi with YouTube wouldn't have been nice.

I did stay on SE/realtime, but the SOCVR reporter script doesn't work on my phone and no-one seems to care / be able to do anything about it?

Yeah chatting from my tablet is just shite. But I was at SO questions almost every day in the morning and evening.

I can chat just fine, I just didn't get around to doing it

9:45 AM
When using the tablet chrome browser version, I had problems with directly responding to particular messages.

I use Firefox... Mobile Chrome doesn't have userscript support.
(read: ublock)

Some questions were asked when MSO is in early days which were like polls. There are now POB. Should we close them or let them open due to historical purpose?

Q: Do You Watch the 'Unanswered' Page, Home Page, or another Page?

Tyler CarterI'm looking for the best way to use Stack Overflow on a day-to-day basis. I know that for a lot of people, the Home page is probably what they see the most. But I'm wondering if it is more useful to watch the Unanswered page, or another page in order to see the most questions? If someone already...

If they haven't had any recent activity, just let them pass

not active but came across it in review queue

Closing old, considered helpful questions is a bit of meh.

10:15 AM
I actually kinda agree there

Which side actually?

The last message was posted 2 hours ago, and Journeyman's response was still ambiguous :)
On the other hand, I got 38℃ fever 🙃
ugh, sore throat... why it's always sore throat...

12:24 PM
@SomewhatMemorableName :( Get well soon!

12:35 PM
@πάνταῥεῖ this

@Tinkeringbell thanks.. :)
I should probably blame myself though for eating those fried food/snack
literally: gorengan

12:55 PM
@SomewhatMemorableName Hmmm. I think I had the fried banana once or twice :) but it definitely looks tastier on the pictures there ;). Maybe you could eat/drink something with honey? It's good for your throat apparently
(The Dutch recommendation is honingdrop or honey liquorice, but I don't think that works outside of The Netherlands :P )

1:18 PM
@JourneymanGeek LOL

@Tinkeringbell @SomewhatMemorableName I was told a warm water solution with locally produced honey and a hint of lemon works

1:35 PM
lol
There're lots of things to laugh in the disaster
Army is rescuing people by airlift or directly landing helicopter. One guy removed his shirt and waved it to attract a helicopter which is in rescue mission. The house was not suitable to land a copter. However the pilot landed it with half an hour effort on the terrace.
When they landed, the guy took a photo of helicopter and left

user271002
@OptimusPrime lol?

user271002
I hope they will catch him.

they won't. According to current situation

user271002
:-(

This is a photo of one small village. More than 60% of land area are now under water

1:52 PM
Pro-tip: always point your sewage outflow pipes into a river, or it will find its way into populated areas.

It's not sewage water
Due to heavy rain, they had to open all shutters of all dams. The river expanded to populated areas. Nearly 1/2 KM to both sides

2:19 PM
Rivers are bitches!

not at all. People use river water for farming

Sure, that's what makes them dangerous. People are living beneath there.

Ban all the rivers!

I wonder how likely is it this question is legitimate: chemistry.stackexchange.com/questions/100757/…

2:28 PM
The thing is that, the water level rose more than 3 meters. Most of the houses are covered with mud. lots of furniture are found on top of houses, gates, etc

@SomewhatMemorableName I wonder if they have eumenthol jujubes where you are.
I prefer the Red ones, though the yellow ones are ok if you don't want to eat fire flavoured jellies

3:16 PM
@OptimusPrime What an idiot he is.

@NogShine Yeah, I agree. Such behavior is absolutely inacceptable.

user271002
and criminal

@OptimusPrime I am happy to know you are safe.

3:42 PM
@NogShine thanks
Started working on a markdown parser this eve. Coding after 8 month break
Todo : adjust line height of headers
@NogShine Another issue is, some girls stranded on their hostel. When helicopter came to rescue them, few of their neighbor women swim through the water, went to the hostel and beat those girls saying when copter flew above, it causes damage to their houses. Bit*hes

4:10 PM
@SomewhatMemorableName clear your throat's caching

@AdamLear If you're still around would you mind checking the OP of this off-topic question. They have posted at least two similar questions today, where title and provide code have nothing in common and this latest treat becomes close to trolling with their reference to Nostradamus. I suspected earlier they were posting spam seeds.
Let me raise a flag as well
and gone it is
thanks!

no prob :) no idea what's going on there, but he should be q-banned on meta now, I think

I guess our votes help with that ...

user194636
...exactly as Nostradamus predicted

I thought meta didn't have q-bans?

4:16 PM
@rene That thing appeared on the C++ tag couple days ago. You can guess how well it went...

you were all welcoming?

@rene Of course, right up to reading the question.

@JohnDvorak child metas don't, MSE does but it's a lot harder to hit than on a regular site
having said that, I'm not 100% sure if this user is blocked or not. I'm getting conflicting info from our tools :)

Yeah bugs \o/ ... How was your holiday ?

@MartinJames Never wents well, if I am involved :-P

4:20 PM
@πάνταῥεῖ lol

@rene It was good. Pretty chill and relaxing

Oh, I really was that polite and engaging those times ago: stackoverflow.com/questions/24920598/…

@PaulWhite Star-bait
@rene :D :D :D

2 hours later…
6:15 PM
And user codes on MSE are now above 400000
