Q: How can I convert a SO answer (or tag wiki) to a documentation example?

ShaiI have this SO answer which is quite detailed and I wrote it as a mini-tutorial. IMHO, it fits (maybe with minor touches) to serve as a documentation example. To make matters more interesting, how about converting a tag wiki into a documentation example? The wiki of bsxfun is basically a list of...

Locking for "too many off-topic comments" also disables votes, afair.

Gabe: Community Manager -> Portuguese Community Project Manager
Juan M: International Community Team Lead -> Manager, International Community Team
Abby/hairboat: Director of Community Management -> Director of Community Operations & Management

It makes sense to finally have some distinction between Abby's and Tim's roles.

Tim does strategy, which means we should not expect anything to come out of his posts within 6-8 years. (Well, that was already understood.)

@bjb568 that doesn't help you interact with other people, which is the point of interpersonal skills.

@Shog9 Since you have insight. How did I manage to get blocked at Stack Overflow again? There weren't any concrete reasonings given, besides I'm a seemingly no so nice person. Can you give me some of the flaggiing statistics for my comments and overall postings. Seriously, I just don't get it for now :-/

I mean... I could...
But I'm in the middle of a scintillating discussion with Jim beam right at the moment
You could respond to the mod-message I assume?

@Shog9 Surely I did so.

K, good

@Shog9 I also checked all of my recent comments, couldn't spot anything rude or unconstructive. Some may have been deleted already though. But IIRC just along rude comments of others.

A. Rex What is a bounty? What is the "Featured" tab on the homepage? How can I search for questions that have a bounty attached? How do I start a bounty? When can I start a bounty? > Approximately 24 hours after the end of the bounty period (once the grace period ends), if the bounty starter has not manually awarded the bounty, the bounty may be awarded automatically.

@Disney I know. But the user is removed after placing bounty and hence the bounty is owned by community
In such case if an answer is eligible, what does community do?
Award 25 as it normally does or will community accept any answer or any mod accept any answer?
This should be an exception and I think CM's should take a look at it

since Community can't accept an answer, the bounty can only be awarded automatically based on the criteria

CC @Shog9

No, CM can't force accepting an answer because they don't know which one helps OP the best

The OP is no more. it is deleted.
So, atleast for future visitors, they should choose the best answer as accepted (based on public interest)
May be the highest voted one

A: Some SO users neither accept answers nor give any response

Martijn PietersYou move on. We cannot force anyone to respond or accept answers. Remember that you help not only the OP but any future visitors as well. If your answer is truly helpful, you'll receive up votes from those people, over time.

Martijn is a mod. not a cm
There are many low quality questions which has a bounty an can't be closed. I flagged many of them and the mod's didn't respond even after days.

user202362
this code I am working on is full of holes too

user202362
I would like to describe my day: tried to fix some code, then drove to a place to fix a few issues, 80% done. Found out my code still has holes, 20% still awaits to be fixed next time. Then car broke down when trying to drive back. Called road side assistance, restarted the car. Come back, the root issue about the car is still waiting to be found and fixed.

Once took three weeks of not looking at (or driving, of course) my car before figuring out exactly which wire needed rerouting.
Maybe your code is that way too, @Telkitty. All you might need is to not look at it for three weeks.
The wire from that car story was much like debugging. The underlying problem was that its insulation had a scratch that grounded when taking bumps.
(Glad that you made it home in any case, one way or another, Telkitty. Best of wishes for both car and code.)

How a person with just 101 rep (not a mod) can be able to made posts community wikis?

Q: Should 'Hi', 'thanks', taglines, and salutations be removed from posts?

GEOCHETI edit a lot of posts every day. I often run across posts with 'Hi' and 'Thanks' on the top and the bottom of the post respectively. I also run across things like: --User Should these items be removed during the editing of the post by an editor?

Check the question and answer's revision history. A person named paul converted all of them to Community wiki

1:41 PM
I guess Paul was just the contributor of the X-th answer, after which (at the time) the post was automatically marked a community wiki.

user315433
Back then, questions were automatically converted to community wiki once they got 30 answers. Reference. That user posted the 30th answer.

^
So Paul only get "blamed" for the conversion. He didn't actually convert anything by himself.

Oh. As a reward, he got 10 downvotes too
Thanks for the info.

Because we believe all traffic on the web should be treated equally, Stack Overflow will join some of your other favorite sites from around the web including Netflix, GitHub, Reddit, and Amazon on July 12 for a day of action supporting net neutrality.

The goal of this day of action, organized by Fight for the Future, is to get regular friendly Internet users like you to submit your comments and concerns to the FCC about their plans to do away with net neutrality. In fact, you can do that right now by using Battle for the Net’s system or filling out a comment on the FCC’s page by clicking “Express.” …

@ɥʇǝS Just be confident about how you interact, regardless of conformity to norms. A site telling you want you should and shouldn't do when interacting with somebody kinda defeats the purpose of interacting, which should be the interaction, rather than trying to satisfy some criteria for "doing it right".
