@Telkitty eh. On one hand, I'm one of those guys who thinks that diversity should be innate. Less talking, more doing. On the other hand, you don't win that fight until $type_of_person in $industry is unremarkable ;p

(also, SE is reasonably diverse)

but they also have the advantage of being able to hire people in a lot of roles off their userbase.

@Success Probably will do again, and that's not because of undying love between a 1337 tr011 & a website, just some visa problem (someone else's visa problem). I will probably visit US east coast & Canada in 2 years time, given I don't get hit by a bus, not stuck in a project and not able to go, not get pregnant, not die on a trip else where, not bankrupt and not die or permanently disabled in any other ways ... so all in all, me not able to go in 2 years is still fairly significant ...
