Win

Which account?

His socks', obviously.

1:16 AM
Doesn't matter.
Only the win matters.

But I wanna see the funny thing!

Pretend it was bjb.
It wasn't that funny, lol, and the comments are gone anyways.

Awwww

The dude was by far the douchiest person I've encountered on an SE site. I wish I saved his comments. Like, there wasn't really a back and forth or one of those internet fights.
The guy was just legit crappy. I've never seen one comment so packed with deep-rooted, delusional crap.

Is this the most interesting thing that's happened recently, @JasonC? :P

1:22 AM
No
But it's up there.

@JasonC What are the more interesting events?

The only one I can think of is today I put a garbage bag over a piece of plywood to keep it dry in the rain. That was pretty good.
We're not removing Smokey. Muting it is only a couple clicks away.
8

@JasonC Hopefully that was an important piece of plywood.
Speaking of Smokey...

The plywood only existed to keep other wood under it dry in the rain.

@JasonC Apples taste good with peanut butter.

1:26 AM
If I haven't broken everything (who knows at this point) Smokey should auto-delete question reports if the question is deleted within the 2 minute chat-message deletion window.

Silence.
Is three left clicks the same as a right click?

@JasonC So... why not just cover the rest of the wood? :P

It had wet stain on it.

Oh, so it was a giant sheet of plywood?

It was normal sized.
I misled you, it took more than one garbage bag.
I'm sorry.

1:28 AM
dare I ask what "normal" is?

4' x 8'

That's decently large.

It's pretty much the standard size for most sheet goods.
In the US at least.

I was imagining you using a 2' x 4' so this makes a lot more sense. :P

You want to know what the most interesting part of that whole story is?
It didn't end up raining.
:(
Oh wait I totally forgot about an interesting thing that happened this morning where I sprayed about a half gallon of diesel on the side of a cop car by accident.
Somebody, presumably my downstairs neighbor, decided to use my garden hose for some mysterious activity involving diesel fuel. Then left it there, full.

1:33 AM
... what.

I hooked it up and turned on the water to spray my driveway and it was pretty much like a gas pump. And there was a cop on the sidewalk I didn't see. I somehow talked my way out of a ticket.
The pink stuff too.

Is your neighbor a nice person or some crazy person?

Ruined the hose of course, also ruined my little gun nozzle. And I sprayed it all over myself. And the stains are still on the sidewalk.
My neighbor is just an old guy that doesn't speak English.
I couldn't even ask him wtf he was doing.

How'd he even get your hose?

I bought it and it's on the side of the house. I left it there for everybody to use. For water.
There's only 3 units in this building my neighbors are friendly. But sometimes the old guy does weird shit.

1:36 AM
This is in NYC, right?

Yeah

Remind me not to move to New York.

Don't move to New York.
5

Not that there aren't other reasons not to move to NYC, but there are weird old guys everywhere.

@tchrist Why thank you tchrist.

1:38 AM
So many negatives.
There now you won't forget.

@JasonC Remember, you're going to be a weird old guy some day too.

Not if I get abducted and forced to undergo a sex change.

@JasonC Horn’s rule is Simplex Negatio Negat; Duplex Negatio Affirmat; Triplex Negatio Confundit. Single negative negates; double negative affirms; triple negative confuses.

What about quadruple negatives?

I'm not too unconfused to never go there.

1:40 AM
Not that I wouldn't not want to not use them though.
Does "avoid" count as an implied negative?
Like "not avoid" = double negative?

You know, your though gives away the whole thing. Negative concord would have demanded either.

Well I need to find food. Later.

is eating veggie lo mein
Wait, isn't it past dinnertime in New York?

Well it's 9:45 PM.

I understand the city never sleeps. Which is sad because that must mean no breakfasts.

@JasonC I believe the standard solution involves loading the travelling car with enough salesmen that frame dragging causes localized gravitational anomalies which serve as guide-points leading to the optimal routing. — tchrist 42 mins ago
@tchrist That's a lot of salesmen.
The Schwarzschild radius of a salesman is about 1.2*10^-24m, btw. And now you know.
Which is about the size of a neutrino.
So yeah, a lot of salesmen.
If I asked "How long would it take for a black hole the size of a neutrino to eat another salesman?" on Physics do you think it'd be "well received"?

@JasonC no fasting, no breakfasts. Just an everlasting stream of tributes, each egg fried a tradition bent on keeping the memory alive, each pat of butter melting into a crispy waffle marking the ongoing vigil.

@JeffreyBosboom Good reviewers try to address the concerns of the author, but often they're fairly vague or hard to address

When I ask someone to review my code (in person), I usually can't say more than "This works, but this part just feels like I'm Doing it Wrong somehow". If I know more than that I can usually work it out myself.
I imagine it's even worse trying to communicate that in writing over the Internet.
