@tchrist ^ the regexes wouldn't catch that one
May I please propose that they do so? :(

The reason is that "shit" is between word boundaries.
I once removed all word boundaries. Lots of FPs came in. So I'm not sure if that would be a good idea.
But \bshithole\b would be reasonable.
Yeah, that should work.
I'll add some more variations of "shit" like that one.

is funny when someone says that there's a problem, and you answer that is not a problem but three problems
@Braiam shouldn't identify be identifying?
Also: lets => let’s, gripping => complaint (probably not griping), user which => user who.
@rene no, it's used as infinitive: you are incapable of act
OK
14:32
René is right: English can’t use a bare infinitive as the object of a preposition. It usually uses the gerund, and this should be capable of identifying.
@tchrist I'm thinking of "the griping hand"
Oh.
Yes, grip is clasp while gripe is complain. Well, or the flu or something.
but yes, the double p isn't correct
@tchrist ok
By clasp, I mean grab hold of.
sounds weird in spanish: los usuarios no son capaces de identificando
14:35
It’s in fact illegal in Spanish.
!!/lick
@bjb568 licks ice cream cone
A gerund cannot be a substantive in Spanish.
Nor, for the most part, in (European) Portuguese. It does happen in Brazil, though, and this use may be spreading.
Hay que decir que los usuarios no son capaces de identificar algo. Sin embargo como adverbio: Identificando el problema, abrieron la puerta y salieron corriendo.
yes, on those cases the gerund is correct
I should say so. :)
