@rene :)

@Andy I was unsure if it was a privilege so I first had to create an account because I couldn't find any reference to it

[ SmokeDetector ] Offensive body detected: Could you help me with this logic problem? by esnafga on philosophy.stackexchange.com

^ The picture in that question needs less light. I can almost see some paper, and that's just not acceptable

does not look like a philosophy question, but it's in good hands

4:46 PM
@Andy so we agree it is a light logic problem?

@rene light AND problem
@SmokeDetector ignore

@bummi Post ignored; alerts about it will no longer be posted.

@bummi I see, two problems. Well that makes it unclear what the OP is asking. We can only handle one question per post

it's handled :)

4:52 PM
zoom and enhance
A local brightness correction and an unsharp filter should make it more readable. This is not a suggestion to salvage the question. This is a challenge for bored photoshop wannabe-mages.

We could point the OP to photoshop.se?

Is there photoshop.se?

I dunno

How about photo.se?

Best bet is the graphics design exchange

4:55 PM
At least it's not as horribly overexposed as #thatdress
(disclaimer: I do not, and do not intend to, endorse talking about the subject I have just mentioned)

@JanDvorak DON'T YOU DARE!
@JanDvorak ok

I didn't see a dress but that was not the point I was told...

but still will be your fault

Current status: 18 hours worth of back-up watching my youtube substriction.
Primary cause: Cities Skylines LP/streaming embargo over

Everything you wanted to know about why the dress phenomenon occurred ted.com/talks/beau_lotto_optical_illusions_show_how_we_see (if you are into that sort of thing)

4:59 PM
@TravisJ crap you!

It is actually more about the way your brain learns to see and does not actually reference a dress or harm small animals.

5:11 PM
@HansPassant I see that you are an optimist, but I'm a reallist. That that you describe only happens in the 1% of the cases, which aren't worth the problems the rest 99% of the cases cause. — Braiam 12 secs ago

Not sure what your intention was there, but I think you went a little to abstract.

Q: How come the first result for "stac" on Google is Stacey Dooley

ne1410sHow come the first result for "stac" on Google is Stacey Dooley?? Who is she?? Seriously though, is this due to Google's algorithms and some deep psychological problem within me? Or dare I suggest it is more a case of Google quashing the free-thought network that is the Stack Exchange suite? ...

wut
rant?

downworthy, perhaps unclear

@ProgramFOX Blacklisted user and registered question as true positive: added title to the Bayesian doctype 'bad'.

why is my only flag choice 'other'?
not useful.
I have only one more flag today, don't want to flag spam 'other'

@Frank because the post is already gone

5:25 PM
\o/
Oh. You mean the spam. _o_

yes, that one

@ProgramFOX no, before that

#google-are-evil #i-regret-nothing — ne1410s 3 mins ago
definitely trolling
Google tailors the search to you as a user. My first result for stac was stacked, and second was stackoverflow. Perhaps you should take this time to reflect on what you as a user do with your google searches. — Travis J 2 mins ago

Are you sure?
This might have happened:
1) You go to the post.
2) The post gets deleted.
3) You click the "flag" link (without refreshing).
4) Because you actually flag a deleted post, the flag dialog only shows the "other" flag.

For me it found some french bus lines I've never heard of

5:30 PM
@ProgramFOX well I know, because I failed the first time to see a spam option, I reloaded, same, I did that again, same, then the next time I reloaded it was gone.

For me the first result was a caravan selling site.

caching?

The first result that might have been somewhat tailored was an air conditioning unit on a web-shop in my country
result #9

@Frank probably. I don't see another reason that it didn't show up

#10 is a mountain in Scotland

5:32 PM
First result here is www.stac.edu
and all the others on the first part of the page are about that college

That was ~ #7 for me, one link

@Frank - When I search stac I get that, but it isn't in the suggestions dropdown.

then theres Rhode Island government stuff (stac.ri.gov)

The Chrome omnibar? 2x SO, 3x SE

@TravisJ Lol, the only things in the suggestion dropdown for me are http://[se site]/users/current
I wonder why.
From several of the sites

5:35 PM
Did you navigate to the search tab in google or use the url location to search?
If I use the url all I get is SO related stuff as well
All I have to type is s to end up here :)

@TravisJ url

for just S the third suggestion is the sh.st homepage

@TravisJ When I type stac in the search part, it redirects the text into the url place and drops down suggestions from there.

The plague of Stacy

@Frank ProgramFOX is right. The reason is that the page with the question is cached (including on server side); reloading it may still show you the cached version, prior to deletion. On the other hand, the flag dialog hits the database real-time (this is why SE throttles it, allowing only one dialog load per 3 seconds). So the flag dialog knows that the post is deleted even though the page does not show this. On a deleted post, the only flag is "other".

For me it's "stacionární" / "stachema" / "stack overflow" / "stacionář"

definitely abusive

Yes. I flagged as other on both the post and comment.

I love closing a question then twisting the knife with a down vote.

I prefer the opposite order. Downvoting doesn't cause a reload

user259867
@JasonC I'm with Jan on this one.

user259867
It's called downclosing, not closedowning.

I want to make a Chrome extension to downclose then close the tab with one button.

I second that request

My Chrome extension dv's, cv's, then closes the tab.

It's not in the store, at least yet. It will be on GitHub though. What I do still have to fix is this: if you cast the final cv -- which causes the page to refresh -- the tab will not close.

5:59 PM
store plz

Your mom loves unofficial installation channels.

I don't

@Jan - That post is more than likely in the needs improvement queue (hence no close vote)
It is at least salvageable

I never have, but would if I found one that was worth it. I did donate to AdBlock.

@TravisJ not really. Not by us.

Here's what I have thus far. (This version doesn't dv though) Nothing too complicated... pastebin.com/Tu1PCCkC (It only auto-cv's if there's a reason that already has 2 votes for it.)

@Jan - I could fix that question.

6:03 PM
Is it worth it, though?

It could be to someone, all I am saying is that it can be salvaged and that while it is not ideally formed it is answerable.
