@LynnCrumbling Hope you can hang out there and eat GS cookies.
@nicael Which mobile are you using?

Galaxy S5
Samsung
In chrome

user259867
I have S3. Using Opera.

@nicael Seems I get an error now on master-chat.js

Sue
I have a Samsung S4 with chrome-will check...

@Sue ah, yeah. Someone flagged that one, and it got 'the banner'.

user259867
11:02 PM
And I get a normal system confirmation window about deletion.

looked like a legit answer to me though...

@FamousBlueRaincoat I get normal alert only for editing confirmation

Is the sandbox locked?

Sue
Here I am on my Samsung-will see what happens.

@nicael no repro in Chrome

11:08 PM
@rene IE is stuck on "Loading Sandbox" "Just a second..."

user259867
@Sue Look for the button in the lower left corner of the screen

@LynnCrumbling bug

I'm into tavern fine in IE11.
Can't get back past loading dialog for Sandbox.

same here

so - repro'd.

Sue
11:10 PM
Now that I found how to do it-it worked for me.

@nicael ok, not when deleting, but when I try to delete the last post again, I get the huge banner...

@LynnCrumbling don't you know by chance, how long a second lasts in IE?:p

@nicael Isn't it the same as a second in the file copy dialog?
@sue sure.

@Frank so, I can post it?

@Sue It's a chat room for messing around. Experimenting with the chat interface.

A: Should we have an ability to see others' consecutive days?

Patrick HofmanI see no harm in it. I feel the number of helpful flags is more private than this, and you can see that already. You can already see when someone was last online, you can see very detailed what someone did on a day. So if you want to know, you can already mine it very easy. There is no point in ...

And I agree.

@nicael It's a different banner from yours.
But it is huge and nearly empty.

Show plz

Not on an app, just on the mobile site on Chrome from my desktop.
@nicael I'll get a screenshot.

Sue
@LynnCrumbling Thanks! I have a bunch of sandboxes in my saved stuff.

@nicael I cut off the top of the window for the shot, but got as much context as possible:

Something interesting just happened to me on my Samsung Chrome. I "deleted last," then hit "edit last" and it brought back up my deleted post. Normal?
@Frank That's the same one I'm getting too.

@LynnCrumbling posted a bug : meta.stackexchange.com/questions/250572/…

@Sue Just tested, you're right. You can edit your deleted messages in mobile chat...

Q: Meaningless ability to edit deleted chat messages

GrubermenschThe following sequence of events recently transpired: I thwacked the enter key in the middle of writing a chat message. To avoid embarrassment, I immediately deleted said message. I then was able to edit the deleted message, completing my half-finished thought. However, it proved impossible to ...

@rene I'd love to see a diff of that JS file for sandbox vs. Tavern.

11:27 PM
@LynnCrumbling They are identical... I assumed but I just checked to be sure...

Sue
@Frank Weird!

A: Community for quick consults

nicaelActually most basic things (typically) can be easily found in the huge Internet; don't think it would be a viable site, not sure about the quality of content (cuz almost everything for beginners is easy to find) and, after all, what "For beginners" is quite a broad topic to be covered by a SE com...

And the question has 2 upvotes already...
Strange.

@rene Interesting.

Sue
@nicael I think the upvotes (I didn't) serve as good reminders of how hard some things are for newbies.
Lots of stuff makes sense after you've been told, and not all the help pages are really helpful. Look at me, still asking dumb stuff like how to bookmark a conversation after having been a "chatter" for months!

Q: You can edit deleted questions in mobile chat

FrankSimilar to this question (Meaningless ability to edit deleted chat messages) (which appears to have been fixed), but in mobile chat. I went into mobile chat, deleted my last message, then clicked 'edit last'. It brought up the deleted message and I was able to edit it. Here's the post history: ...

@Sue^
@nicael sure, go ahead

A: Help us test the shiny new "User Activity" page! (Plus a bunch of new features.)

nicaelIn "my logins", there should be more space between "change password" and "remove":

@Frank Good post, thanks. Vote from me. I don't like using my mobile cuz every time I try to do something it asks if I want to open it in Chrome, Internet or Stack Exchange. Even if I set a default it keeps happening. Is that normal?

@Sue on what device?

Sue
@nicael Vote from me. I really appreciate how hard you're working on this new profile.

I don't even have a smartphone yet ... (yeah) so I only have desktop experience, and mobile site on opera mini on my old slider phone.

Sue
@Frank Samsung Galaxy S4.

11:42 PM
@Sue idk then. :P

Sue
It's an Android, bottom of the line smart phone. We just switched from old-fogey phones cuz texting and pix are better on the smart phone.
How come you don't have one?

Sue
@nicael Do you have the problem on your Galaxy that I just described to Frank?
@Frank Does meta have a way to mark/close questions as "obsolete"?
Or "status completed?"

user259867
@Sue Only SE employees can apply mod tags on Meta. status-norepro, status-completed, etc.

Sue
11:52 PM
@bummi Gone now?

jep :)

Sue
@FamousBlueRaincoat I know, but there's no way for us to see that in the question itself, in the way that things are marked as duplicates on sites and then when you search you can see it right there in parentheses. i.e. (duplicate)
I'm asking because I've been studying meta really hard, and so often I find threads leading to questions that are or were implemented, and it's hard to tell, because they're so old. Do you guys regularly go through and clean out obsolete questions? Or can new researchers like me flag them as obsolete?

user259867
Yeah, it's not as prominent. Very few features are developed for meta use specifically. The meta regulars just have to get used to paying extra attention to status tags. Incidentally, this is how Android app made me unhappy with its tag display: the status tags are shown in small font, without color emphasis, and are really easy to miss. The mobile site does a much better job with them.

Sue
@FamousBlueRaincoat I agree about the Android app. It's pretty horrible!
