There went most of the open-source questions.

ok, this has gone overboard.
MUST HALP NOW

12:31 AM
wat

Don't make me Leave Open all these...

@Shog9 They're mostly closed already. I was hoping we'd make an impact of ~50 on the CV queue size, but my graph claims we only brought it down around 15.

oh whoops wrong userscript

... er... what did that userscript do?
Flag random things as spam?

whoops
and I have the settings wrong on this userscript.

12:34 AM
@bjb568 Why is that unclear?

those weren't unclear
just CV

@bjb568 I still don't see why it should be closed...

@SmokeDetector CAPS LOCK KEY IS STUCK. PLEASE SEND HELP.

This is clearly not asking for an off-site resource, nor have off-site resources been provided. Dear close-voters, please learn to read. With love, — Shog9 ♦ 11 secs ago

@hichris123 so many links :(

@hichris123 code dump, no question
@Shog9 wait what who did that?

@Shog9 Yeah, I fail at reading.

... goes back to math homework

@Shog9 i like what you did there, closed it then reopened to get it out of the queue

lets see more Shog tricks

12:37 AM
@Doorknob Just close stackoverflow.com/questions/11139580/… and I think we'll be good.

@inf please get your boots and ...

ok done then
@bluet cc @hichris

12:40 AM
@bluet lol was about to do the same thing...

@bjb568 Fixed

so triage queue questions aren't posted on the site until after they exit now?

right

does the question then get like posted as "asked 1 second ago" so it's at the top, . . or does it go down the page like "asked 6 minutes ago"

12:44 AM
@FamousBlueRaincoat I'm still not sure if those types of questions are spam or not... so I just went with off-topic.
@bluet Not sure. @Shog?

user259867
That is 100% spam, or my name isn't Famous Blue Raincoat.

eh.

@hichris123 I've been gone all day. No idea what crazy stuff @GeoffDalgas has been up to... Should probably talk to him.

what now?

user259867
@bluet @GeoffDalgas this question by bluet is for you

12:47 AM
@GeoffDalgas are we bumping the modification date for questions held back in Triage, or just letting them fall where they may?

user202362
./stalking restart

@GeoffDalgas Would it be too immature to say chicken butt?

user259867
@bjb568 It seems the answer is yes.

@Shog9 we let them fall where they may
@bjb568 heck no

There's your answer, @bluet

12:49 AM
ok

ty

whoops
must fix teh typoz

The most random things are starred in here.

Trivia: median time to review for Triage is 8 minutes. For unsalvageable questions, that drops to 6 minutes.

12:50 AM
@hichris123 three of them are by me...
Three of them are by Bart...

... and one is me doing homework.
... or lack thereof, I should say.

Sigh, I guess I should do homework.

6 minutes.... certainly too late for those who camp on 'Newest' questions I think

ooh kewl kitteh
skary kewl kitteh

*cub

user259867
12:53 AM
@Shog9 But the most relevant number is for how long "triaged and good" posts are held up. The "need improvement" are not much of concern, because presumably edits will bump them.

@AndrewT. Yeah, brings up a good point @Shog9: for those unsalvageable questions, what percent are forced out of review by outside actions (close votes, etc from outside the Triage queue)?

Off the top of my head, roughly 15%

Huh. Less than I would have thought.

user259867
@hichris123 given that they are not shown on the front page while in review, not surprising.

@FamousBlueRaincoat That's true, however, I barely ever use the front page now.

user259867
12:56 AM
They are supposed to not be shown in tag views either, but I don't know if that's implemented.

it is true that most people finding questions to answer camp out on a tag or tag combo page

@AndrewT. newest isn't much help, should be fine for newest page and sorting by tag(s)

@FamousBlueRaincoat 9 minutes

user273376
Stupid question, but how long (approximately) do account deletion requests take to start the countdown?

user202362

1:01 AM
@SabreTooth 12-36 hours

@SabreTooth Why do you think everything you ask is stupid? hint: it's not

@SabreTooth between 1 and 5 days on average.

user273376
coolness - sounds pretty quick (quicker than I was thinking)

user273376

Stupid question, but what is the difference (approximately) between a duck?

Good idea, in case someone from a site wants to contact you by email. If I wasn't lazy I'd set up user123...4@gmail and put it in my profile. And set all incoming mail to auto-delete.

But I didn't want all of GL and other SE emailing my through any of my already overloaded personal and business emails.
So now I have an SE email

user273376
@FamousBlueRaincoat indeed, who wouldn't? ;)

@AndrewT. The main site should do that too. Change Skeet's name automatically every once in a while.

A: Is it acceptable to post answers in Swift on iOS/OS X questions marked with the Objective-C tag and vice versa?

AstroCBIt depends. For new questions, I think it's best to go with whatever is tagged. If it's a Swift question about an iOS concept that has already been covered in Objective-C in another question, it's probably best to close it as a duplicate of that question, as conversion in most cases is fairly st...
