@Shog9 "we're declining bugs on careers.stackoverflow unless their a huge dealbreaker". So is this deemed a huge dealbreaker? — Shadow Wizard 1 min ago
@ShadowWizard Are you trying to be difficult? :/

Yeah, I don't know what I'm more right now, confused or pissed of.

suggestion: maybe go for a quick walk?

Something I knew and used (not much, but still) for years, suddenly closed down, and I find out about it by pure chance.
Anyway, there is a conflict between Shog and Juice - so I still think my comment is valid.
@bluefeet I know now. But it's like saying "hey, tomorrow Stack Overflow will be merged with Quora, just go there and click "Stack Overflow" tab. All will be the same, thanks for your time!" - without any early notice. That's the point.

@ShadowWizard It's not really been without notice - we announced part of these changes in this post

Well, since I do not visit MSO but only MSE, I missed the announcement. It's like posting a sign "Hi, we're going to destroy your house", in some local market, hoping the one living in the house will see it by chance — Shadow Wizard 15 mins ago

4:24 PM
@ShadowWizard I'm sorry you missed the announcement. We're not trying to make things difficult for users, instead of having to go to a completely separate site you'll be able to go directly to SO and access Jobs

@ShadowWizard You would hate living in NYC.
My favorite is "You have until 6PM tonight to vacate this building", slid under your apartment door, where you'll never see it because the DOB also replaced your door locks while you were away.
On a Friday night in a building owned by Hasids.

@bluefeet it's all about how you tell it to those users. Like I suggested to Jason and Juice, what about a banner on Careers site itself, leading to the featured post?
@JasonC lol, so true! But I also hate crowded places and traffic jams, so enough reasons even without what you said. ;)
@JasonC anyway, hope you got a towel.

Chat convo Potential bug concerning same name users being kicked effecting non-targetting user? Potential user fuck up too. Confirm?

I somewhat wish I was in the market to use Careers. It looks so shiny and useful.

@ShadowWizard Careers isn't shutting down though. It's being integrated into SO, when you go to Careers you're going to be redirected to the SO jobs location.

4:34 PM
@bluefeet Does this mean it's going to be even harder than it already is to tell SO that I'm not looking for a job?

Careers is already giving Adblock a workout.

@JasonC I think all the groundwork for this has already been laid in the last few weeks
And if you're really unhappy about it... you can write a user script to just take the jobs button out

Yeah I know I'm just literally watching paint dry right now so it's more fun to join into conversations that I'm not really part of and whine than it is to not care.

@bluefeet well, guess it is going to be something people will have to get used to.

@ShadowWizard just give it a chance. ;)

@odnU Yeah and it still sucks. Don't go mistaking "people getting used to it" for "people giving up".
On the bright side at least the answers aren't slideshows.

I rather like it.
Partially for the moving of mod things into a mod place instead of the inbox
Which, granted, is a very small portion of the population

Let's rehash the top bar conversation here in chat right now, who's in?
Oh wait, paint's dry, bbl.

Sigh Mathews you know, this system has been running for 6 years. Wouldn't you think a problem as primary as this would've been addressed already? I'm starting to get tired of "must-comment-while-downvoting" posts. — Ϻ.Λ.Ʀ. 9 secs ago
@Mods sorry if that was snarky, I couldn't help.

so if I have a question on the licensing thing I'm reading on Meta, should I post a comment? (The question I have essentially is "Does this apply to all other SE sites)

@ThomasW. Yeah, though I think the "yes" answer to your question is the reason the post is migrated to meta.SE in the first place.
