Very!
It was so unexpected, I nearly youtube.com/watch?v=ULyYNypLfQQ
It was so scary.

I wonder whether that is fake.
I suspect screens being harder

I'll test that out... brb

A few minutes ago, I saw a "normal" person playing 2048.

@michaelb No! It was our game! They can't just go and play 2048 like that. How insensitive, normal people. Sheesh.

Hi
Is there any way to contact an user?
i.e. inviting him in a room

@Revious You can go to their profile, and click the 'invite this user to chat' link.
(their chat profile, not their SO profile)

but the user is not partecipating at the chat..
found

Found the user's chat profile?
Or a different way to do it?
(this is the meta thread explaining this with photos if anyone else is interested)

1:02 AM
I'm confused. So I just logged in to do my daily duties (do 40 close reviews, and maybe some other stuff) and I get this message "You have failed too many recent review audits – looks like you might need a break." THE PROBLEM is I know I didn't fail any audits yesterday. I actually passed the one I had. And I think the day before that I didn't fail any either, but it could be a possibility that I failed one either 2 or 3 days ago.
But yesterday, I know I never failed an audit, at least never got a message saying I failed one.

@Stilly.stack You were probably review banned by a mod. @minitech? ;)

@Doorknob That's the only logical explanation. I'm not going to fight it, but I don't think it's fair to have a mod just targeting me and banning me from reviews for a while. Oh well. Yes, in the close queue, I normally only vote to close or skip. So if a mod can't see my skips, yes it would look like I'm a robo-reviewer. Because I skip probably 20-60 questions while I'm in there.

@MarcGravell @AnnaLear Is it possible to see who banned him ^ and why?

@Stilly.stack ... just looking at your recent reviews you don't look like a robo-reviewer. Maybe a mistake?

Pretty sure "people vote to close too much" has never been a problem in that queue.

1:08 AM
@AnnaLear Do you do anything except be in here/work/do stuff on SE? :P

Ohai Anna. Can't CMs check to see why a user is review banned? Could you do that now?
I'm not even sure what this should be closed as... I choose you, unclear!

Wait, @Stilly.stack you're LowerClassOverflowian! :P

@Doorknob there is no "why" for mod-initiated bans. only "if".
well, and "when"

Okay; could you make an educated guess as to why? Or ask the mod who did it? :P

Yeah, I'll ask.

1:21 AM
1) Base64 is not a programing language. It is "a set of encoding schemes that represent binary data in an ASCII string format." StackOverflow deals with programing languages, not so much with encodings, so it's not surprising people doesn't understand what you want to ask. 2) That example is a C#, and as such it should be tagged like that. The site uses tags to feed questions to the people that it's interested in answer them, mistagging is the worst you could do. — Braiam 11 secs ago

Uh... @AnnaLear, I just reviewed a spam-nuked post after I spam-flagged it, and deleted it. stackoverflow.com/review/low-quality-posts/4443414

Oh hey, neat. That actually picked up 6 spam flags.

Yeah, I was the last flagger.
But why can I review a deleted post?

@hichris Oh! He was LowerClassOverflowian! I knew his gravatar looked familiar.

1:25 AM
yup
@Stilly It's nice to have you around no matter what your name is :)

@BlueIce Aww, Thanks

It is. :D

@Stilly.stack Found a couple reviews of yours that are a bit questionable and may have landed you with the ban: stackoverflow.com/review/late-answers/4317671 and stackoverflow.com/review/first-posts/4317665. I suppose strictly speaking the answer fits the question, but it's most likely spam at this point. The ideal action there would've been to vote to close the question and delete the answer.
On that note, it's Diablo 3 time. :)

@AnnaLear Good. Thought all you did was work. :P

@hichris123 Probably review hadn't caught up with the deletion... it all happened within minutes of each other. That said, I'm guessing here.

1:30 AM
Ok, thanks Anna

Thank you for your direction. You folks are good people. Guiggs. — user3466709 5 mins ago
lolwat

@doorknob That's a pretty nice response for his question getting closed- I'd take the rare "Thank you for your direction." and the "You folks are good people." and leave the rest :)

@Doorknob This is all I could find urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Guigg , but I think it's just his nickname or something

yeah, I'm pretty sure he was not "pretending to have someone tickle his willy"

1:37 AM
@AnnaLear Why does this question not have a Notice Removed for the bounty entry?

I'm totally going to ask an SO question now... sigh

@hichris123 Please read this before you do stackoverflow.com/help/how-to-ask , lol

That goes to a 404. :D

@Doorknob ... duh. :P
But how?
@Doorknob Look now.

lolwat

That's the picture source.
For some reason, it doesn't like it when I add in header('Content-type: '. $attachment->getContentType());

ZALGO!

@hichris123 What's ArrayArray?

[tag:Õ]

@Doorknob I... dunno. Gimme a sec.

heh
possibly the problem?

@hichris123 and GoogleGlass?

@BlueIce Yeah.
@Doorknob Probably. Check now.
The $file is in the <pre> block.

2:13 AM
@hichris It looks... a bit better?

hm; I see this smacked in the middle:
"http://ns.adobe.com/xap/1.0/<?xpacket begin="" id="W5M0MpCehiHzreSzNTczkc9d"?> <x:xmpmeta xmlns:x="adobe:ns:meta/" x:xmptk="XMP Core 5.1.2"> <rdf:RDF xmlns:rdf="http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#"> <rdf:Description rdf:about=""/> </rdf:RDF> </x:xmpmeta>   <?xpacket end="w"?>

and near the beginning:

@Doorknob ... and?
It's a photo.
That's the raw elements of it.

... facepalm
I think I should sleep now; my brain isn't braining right
(and I have school tomorrow :P)

Wait!
@Doorknob Code: gist.github.com/hichris1234/f9c3a070b78144775487. ... any reason for the ArrayArray?

@doorknob Oh. I totally /àóRmÙ-þEÜ[+.

2:16 AM
um
is that literally the exact code you're running?

@Doorknob Yeah, why? Not quite.

I don't believe in pixels.

@hichris123 because there's <pre>s now; did you change stuff?

@Doorknob Yeah, just this:
if (download_attachment($_GET['timeline_item_id'], $attachment) != null){
        //header('Content-type: '. $attachment->getContentType());
        $image = download_attachment($_GET['timeline_item_id'], $attachment);
        echo "<pre>";
        print_r($image);
        echo "</pre>";
}

@hichris123 where did you add that?
just add echos before each statement so you can pinpoint where the ArrayArray is output. Like:
echo "1";
// statement 1
echo "2";
// statement 2
etc
("debugging" ftw! :P)

2:21 AM
Aha!

I'm totally lost, but you can do it @hichris!

@hichris123 what aha? :D

Code:
echo "three \n";
// Authenticate if we're not already
if (!isset($_GET['userid']) || get_credentials($_GET['userid']) == null) {
  echo "three point five";
  header('Location: ' . $base_url . '/oauth2callback.php');
  exit;
} else {
  echo "four";
  $access_token = get_credentials($_GET['userid']);
  echo "five";
  $client->setAccessToken($access_token["GoogleToken"]);
}
Output:
one two three ArrayfourArrayfive

:D

... so... hmm...

2:23 AM
get_credentials has an echo statement inside it
(or some other way of outputting)

yep @Doorknob

ok, now I shall sleep. cya

Cya.

goodnight @Doorknob!

Yay @Doorknob!
You fixed it! :D

2:27 AM
@hichris123 Is it up now?

Yeah. :D
That's a picture of my wall, by the way.

@hichris123 Wow! Is it attached to Google Glass?
If that's your head, you have a nice head, btw :)

@BlueIce ... kinda. If it works. :P
@BlueIce rofl, that's a shadow.

drooooools
@hichris123 So did the image come from the Google Glass?

@BlueIce Yeah.

2:33 AM
wow!
@hichris How did you get ahold of them?

uh...the question, not hte comment

@hichris i'm jealous...

@BlueIce #ifihadglass

@andy nice catch
@hichris123 So they aren't yours ;_;
What's the whole project gonna be?

@BlueIce Yeah, they are. $1500 worth of mine. :P

2:37 AM
@hichris AAAAAAH!
super jealous

wonders what the problem is this time

Wow! That's super cool!

Now it's not getting the file. :(

@hichris123 Please keep me updated with your project- it sounds really neat :)

$file = file(var_export($_POST["image"], true)); (where image is a URL) no worky. :(
@BlueIce Thanks! :D Instagram's actually one of the only major things not supported on Glass yet.

2:41 AM
Welp, I'm going to bed- so bye, everyone! See you tomorrow!
@hichris123 Good luck figuring this bug out!

Ah. Well, I went with opinion-based, fwiw.

6:41 AM
can "link only answers" be flagged as "not an answer"?

@DroidDev they should be

thank you, just flagged one

but "you should use [StringOutputManager](...)" is a partial answer, not a link-only answer.

I was asking because I saw an answer, from 3Ker with only link

@DroidDev Check out meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/225370/… first, though.

6:44 AM
"You should see this link"

Yeah that's a good example of one worth flagging.

seems like Android tag is a mess of this kind of question and answers
isn't this edit too minor?

@DroidDev Sometimes title-only edits are valid, but this is just a plain invalid edit. It makes the title worse. If you believe an edit was approved that should not have been approved, you can raise a flag on the question with a description like "edit #N should not have been approved". Do that sparingly, when you are sure it was a poor review.

thanks for reply @JasonC will keep this in mind from now on
but I have already raised one flag on that question. Should I again go for another one?, which will be a custom flag.

@DroidDev Dunno; use your judgment. I'm still learning the ins and outs of what's acceptable around here, myself. When in doubt, post a question on meta, you can get a wider variety of responses there than in chat.
Good night!

6:59 AM
Thank you so much for your response, Good Night.

Design help please: in my spam monitor, for how long should I buffer questions until I start talking to the API? Also, should the delay be counted from the last question, or from the first one?

9:45 AM
this got a downvote. I don't see how it is either unclear or unuseful. Or someone disagrees with it being a bug?
@JanDvorak What is the idea then? I don't get what you're asking.

@rene the API doesn't like frequent requests, but I don't want to wait too long before fetching possible spam.

Ah, I see...
I would say the time between detection and removal should be such that spam questions don't make it into the Google index.... Does that make sense?

sounds logical; but I have no idea how long does it take Google to index a particular SE site.
except that it's most likely way higher than I can afford given the SE API quotas.

10:20 AM
The api quota is per app key?
You could also have dynamic based on wheather spam is detect. So you keep a low pace under normal condition but once spam gets detected you throttle up until no more spam is found?

I must find a way to hijack the minds of my friends. They are still playing with 2048....
How can they do that eludes my understanding. Got bored in 5 minutes. -_-

@rene sounds too complex for a first draft, but I can think about it for a later version
@SPArchaeologist I can solve it... or rather my AI can

@JanDvorak is not the solution that eludes me. It's how they can find it funny -_-'.... for more than 2'.
@SuhosinPony morning

@Doorknob Your script is not working for me in Firefox: it just duplicates the backtickified text I clicked.

@ProgramFOX Are you clicking the text or the backticks? For example, if you saw something like I have some code that is not `working` plz help, you could click the "k" in "working" to remove the backticks around it.

I think I clicked the text, but I'll test it again.

Hmm... All works fine now. Probably I clicked text outside the backticks...

12:30 PM

It is to quiet.... we really should ask baba to come back.

Hey @BlueIce can I tell you something, if you don't mind
Its about your display name on SO

@BlueIce afternoon!

12:53 PM
@Droiddev sure! What is it?
@rene hi!

1:10 PM
@SuhosinPony Problem: after begin given the "backed bads" cupcake in the "Apple bucks" episode, we see an hospital scene and all the unlucky eaters are ko. Only one is missing.... that was intentional, right?

2:00 PM
I hate it when someone sort of answers a question, and they have 3 upvotes. Then I fully answer the question. They get 14 more votes and an accept. I get 3 votes.

@SPArchaeologist I believe

What are the chances Stack Exchange will upgrade to jQuery 1.8+ when I ask nicely on meta?

@JanDvorak I think it would depend on the explanation you provide.

ok... should I import my own jQuery, or use methods that were deprecated in 1.8?

Make an adapter for those methods

2:14 PM
heh, I failed an audit which seems to be a reimplementation of someone else answer stackoverflow.com/review/first-posts/4447981

so, manual partial update? Not nice - I still have to learn how the deprecated methods work.

having two versions of jquery is also not nice
I'm not sure what is worse...

@JanDvorak there's a migration/compatibility plugin that does that for you... you could use that while you update your code :P

@Braiam it works in the opposite direction
writes if(/^1\.7/.test($.fn.jquery)) $.Deferred.prototype.then = $.Deferred.prototype.pipe and hopes for the best

2:21 PM
@TheGuywithTheHat flagflagflag?

@BlueIce well, where I live, there is a restraunt-club named Blue Ice. It always hit my mind, whenever I see you name here.

@JanDvorak Why flag?

@TheGuywithTheHat was the edit appaling, or are you not sure?

@JanDvorak The edit changed code.

@TheGuywithTheHat so, was it an incorrect edit, or are you not sure?

2:24 PM
@JanDvorak Yeah, it was incorrect

@droidev lol. Guess I have a following :P

What's the procedure if an NAA flag gets marked helpful and the answer didn't get deleted?
(and it's obviously NAA)

@Undo VLQ?

@TheGuywithTheHat in which case, do the approvers deserve a stern talking to?

well I can't flag it again.

@JanDvorak HOW TO FLAG REVIEW ?

^ Yeah, he undeleted
@TheGuywithTheHat custom flag one of the reviewer's posts.

@undo At least it's not day-old spam... that stinks.

@TheGuywithTheHat JUST FLAG THE POST THAT WAS REVIEWED WITH A LINK TO THE REVIEW.

I don't think we need a to bring in a moderator.

2:28 PM
@Undo just who deleted it?

@Braiam Probably a review queue

@TheGuywithTheHat if they should be punished, but not by a moderator, then by whom?

I don't think they necessarily need to be punished.

will you hunt them down through chat, invite them to a private room and leave them a message?

@JanDvorak I was just going to leave a comment on a random one of their posts.

2:31 PM
@JanDvorak mm... hunting down users, I think that was why shog ended just as a severed head

@TheGuywithTheHat comments should be related to the post they are under

@BlueIce You might wanna contact them for their adv. on SE network via your name. ;-) Just kidding, but a great Idea.... I guess...

maybe I'll just change my name to Brown Ice... jadarnel would appreciate it :)

@SuhosinPony maybe the bubbles represent an alkaseltzer? So the actual talent is "I can eat anything"?

Should this question be closed as "This question was caused by a problem that can no longer be reproduced or a simple typographical error."?
Okay I figure it out. The text I was having printed back on to the screen was mult-lined. I forgot you can't have mult-line in JavaScript. Thanks for the help. — user3418145 Mar 17 at 13:37

@theguy yeah

@BlueIce Good, because I already flagged it. Yesterday.
But the flag's still active.

@TheGuywithTheHat the closevote queue moves slowly

@theguy Yup, I flagged it also.
Usually I just flag and forget. I already got Marshal, soooooooo
:P

Well, it just got marked as helpful.
Maybe your flag gave it a much higher priority than just my flag.

3:01 PM
Yup, that's probably it
I have some questionable flags that are wasting away because I'm the only one who flagged the question

@BlueIce: not much.
Err. In regards to my inbox.
That's a long tijme ago ;)

[cf] on both.

@TheGuywithTheHat if someone with close votes privileges votes to close all flags are marked as helpful, even if they don't vote through the close queue ;)

So, if it is cv for things backed in queue: [cv-plz] (User forgot to include jQuery or the like) stackoverflow.com/q/22576845/3278057

@Szabolcs: Did you ever get your image resizer?

@Braiam I know, I was just saying that two flags, instead of one, probably gave the post high enough priority in the CVQ that it got reviewed.

I think that question is just kind of unclear.
"...so when you navigating back from a question..." - if he's just going back to ham.stackexchange.com, then it makes sense that it doesn't remember his choice.

@TheGuywithTheHat I'm pretty sure you're right. It is likely status by design. There is no reason it should remember your choice.
..i'm trying to find the JS they are using for those buttons.

@JoshCrozier I'm not sure there is any...

@TheGuywithTheHat There would have to be some JS attached to it. Something is preventing it.. (i.e., e.preventDefault();)
..pretty sure it's intentional. It would have to be by design.
