There's a girl, a princess, who gets abducted from her castle. The land she's the princess over is a magical land. There is a young man, who is awakened in the middle of the night and has to go into the sewer in the rain, only to find out he's been chosen for this mission to rescue the princess. He'll need to travel in caves and under waterfalls...
It's so funny how I give a condescending answer that says "go rtfm more noob" and people say "thanks, good advice" and then when I'm an outright asshole I get "you sound a tad condescending there"
People need to recalibrate, I'm pretty sure my condescension meter is accurate
This is why I'm not going to tell you what it's for.
But mostly the build script is huge (and not written by me, and had a bug or two), and the code uses a few technologies I'm unfamiliar with, so it took some prodding. All seems to be (reasonably) well now though.
It's for a large gov't bureau that specializes in things that the average citizen could never afford to live without but couldn't do on his own. Or one of their subcontractors. Or one of the subs clients. Or someone in the private sector entirely.
@TimStone I've heard rumored... that an object of sufficient mass will collapse under the weight of its own gravity... devouring anything within range... even light cannot escape... nor hope...
I am looping through a list of links. I can correctly get the title attribute, and want it displayed onclick. When the page is loaded and when I click on a link, all of the link titles are alerted one by one. What am I doing wrong?

The getElementsByTagName method returns an array of objects. So you need to loop through this array in order to get individual elements and their attributes:
var navLinks = nav.getElementsByTagName('a');
for (var i = 0; i < navLinks.length; i++) {
var link = navLinks[i];

Well if people ask a programming question on StackOverflow, they are likely to get an answer there. If they ask a programming question on Meta.Stackoverflow, it'll be closed.
@Sathya - In a way, yes, but this is more specific to conventions and customs. Travle would be a reason to want to know such a thing, but there are other things to ask about when planning a trip.
All of the Samsung Galaxy devices were difficult to figure out... The Fascinate has had different CM6/CM7 builds that have all been terrible for a while now. It's taken forever, but it's looking up now that it's going to be official.
I sent a donation towards JT1134 (the king of this stuff).. then realized that's the third time I've tossed him some cheddar.
Hrm... "I have just hacked my way around the [it does not meet our quality standards] filter. There was a length minimum with a very high threshold. – Knu 8 mins ago"
When you vote on a question on the exchange your vote does not seem to take any affect until you refresh the page.
The problem with that is sometimes your vote does not count and you get that red box of doom which says an error occurs.
The problem with that red box is -- it does not always s...
I'm not sure I've ever seen that unless you're leaving the page too quickly, in which case changing the rep wouldn't have provided any additional feedback anyway.
@Neal "Voting sometimes fails silently" and "auto-update rep on the page when it changes" are completely unrelated. You just happen to want one because of the other
Also, if you want to use your magic blue powers to reopen this question, I promise not to tell Jeff. The post history might, but (and I know I'll regret saying this) since blaming you is invalid, that's alright!
I thought I'd get reopen votes before it hit 100 views and they started to expire, but 6 people ruined that for me somehow. :P
@Neal If you do see a case where a vote doesn't apply but you don't get an error and the arrow stays lit, definitely report it. I've never seen that happen
@RebeccaChernoff I sit at a desk eight hours a day, in a car one hour a day, and on a couch eight hours a day! My index finger doesn't have that kind of musculature!
