So in other news ... as if this were passable as news ... I saw "I am Number Four" tonight and I'm not sure if I'm pissed at the directorial staff/producers, or if I really liked the movie. The plot was imaginative if a trite replay on old plots, and was really oddly done at times. Idk, I guess I've gotten to the point where I want to see things really well developed and the story really well told.
The trick is to keep pressing ahead and quit worrying about rep. Just answer questions for the sake of answering questions, and try to do the very best job you can.

It's one thing to use short forms like that when you're typing on a tiny keyboard. I accept such atrocities in SMS. However, when you have a full-fledged keyboard at your disposal, it's just lazy.
In my experience, it's not done because people are in a hurry. It's done because people are lazy. It does not take that much longer to spell out "because."
@ManjotSingh hey dnt mention nation dude.. its guys mistake who not spelled the word properly.. so nation cannt do anything for that. there may people in india who can talk english every fluently. Also ur former Prime Minister P.V. Narsimha Rao who can talk 14 laguages very fluently , he is an indian and he is from my state Andhra Pradesh

I use some short forms. I'll admit that. However, g'night is more accepted than b'cos. More importantly, if I were typing a full sentence, I would use "good night." I used the short form for expediency, when I thought it was actually worth it.
@ManjotSingh there is one reason why I'd say that g'night is valid and b'cos isn't. g'night is a contraction of two words whereas b'cos is just one single word.
@OctavianDamiean Right, it's a question of how strict you want to be. Actually, Oxford's is supposed to document usage. It's not supposed to be a guardian of correct English.
@ManjotSingh Correct. One of the arguments against "it's" is that it seems possessive. Because of that contraction, the correct way to say that something belong to "it" is to use "its." The issue is that it makes the rules more complicated.
