certinaly is a bold claim

@LasseVKarlsen No, not impossible
If you own your own IP's and have geographically diverse data centers spread over a dozen or more major carriers, its not technically impossible, but one bad BGP4 announce could ruin your whole day ( and SLA )
But even if that happened, most site monitors would see a 404 and many would report it as still 'up'
100% is a marketing gimmick, its more like 99.99999
But, when properly engineered, giving a SLA credit is rare
Our Xen cloud spans across 5 data centers in the US, plus several in Europe, all using distributed shared storage. Its very unlikely that you'll even notice the ~10 seconds it takes for your VM to show up with the same IP in another data center if a problem happens.

I've just decided that a 24" monitor would be a worthwhile purchase
and I'll spin this 20" round to vertical

just so you can have more chat history?

Not trying to boast or anything, but that 30inch I got from SO Inc. is really nice
(especially since right now I'm sitting here with a 10" netbook)

I wish my budget would stretch that far, the monitor which I do get will have to be at the very bottom, price and quality wise.

I could have never imagined paying that price for a monitor -- I usually buy the cheapest stuff that's acceptable

It seems that 24" is about the sweet spot price wise for monitors now - the one I'm looking at is about the same price that the 20" I'm using now was
If that sentence makes any sense at all

you can hardly buy 20" inch here anymore
22 is min, coming around at about 110€

I got those Samsung 23" ones, as recommended by Atwood himself. For the money they're pretty good.

8:22 PM
There is a 20" at £100, but when there's a 22" for exactly the same price it's not exactly a difficult question

You can't really go wrong with Samsung
they don't make high-end stuff, but for regular things...
My netbook is Samsung, our TV is Samsung, my MP3 player is Samsung
even our Samsung washing machine was pretty good

I've been looking at a Samsung laptop but I'm really put off by the red which they insist on coating the top of the laptop with
Although I haven't really been looking too hard to see if there's a version without
