maybe some lines are walking the unfriendly/unkind line, but writing lyrics is kind of hard with the constraints of matching syllables, syllable stress, rhyme, etc.

@starball yeah, pure fun isn't on topic anymore, was long years ago.

Such things can be on topic e.g. as part of contest, there were several swag events, we had to write stories, draw, and much more.

I got my fair share of swag, but looks like those events are only in the past, not going to happen again. :(

@ShadowTheKidWizard I'm seriously considering that. But I need to figure out two things first: 1) Whether it's okay for me to use the instrumental audio and publish something recorded over it, or whether I want to record some instruments myself (and if I do, how much effort I want to put into that), and 2) where I can upload. I usually upload my music on youtube, but recently I've been trying to be more pseudonymous on Stack Exchange. Maybe I'll make a new google account just for SE.

@ShadowTheKidWizard I asked on MSO about whether a contest post or standalone question post on MSO would be okay. got a lot of downvotes and one comment saying a contest would be okay, but probably "low in demand". I deleted that MSO question in shame and got my peer-pressure badge.

also, I said I'd beat the 900 WAG record today, but bailed :P went flagging comments as no longer needed instead and doing other things.

@starball 1) well, it's not for commercial use, you won't be making any money from it, so guess it's fine. 2) yeah separate YT account should work, but surely there are bunch of other free music hosts as well. :)
