@ShaWiz @rene @Mithrandir @Tinkeringbell Sorry to ping all of you! But I need help in knowing if I break code of conduct in this situation:

So in our HSE chat, one of CM entered. Seeing them, I welcomed them. And in the next message I said, `"It is unlikely seeing you joining HSE chatroom. Feel free to ask any questions about Hinduism if you have any. :D"`

Since I did not get any response; I felt bad. So my question is did I break any code of conduct when I said that first line ?
Because in general, if a high rep user(who is well aware of SE chat features), enters chat. They'll respond. At least that is what my experience is so far.
By keeping this thing my mind, only possibility could be my way of talking being rude/not-welcoming ?

CMs often lurk and don't respond. If they responded all the time, they wouldn't have time for anything else. Don't worry about it.

Thanks yeah I understand they don't respond most of the time.
But I checked their chat activities after that. I noticed they were okay to respond to humoristic messages. I didn't mean to stalk but I was trying to understand them in general so that I could find if I did any mistake.

I am thinking to post this question on meta HSE.

@TheLittleNaruto meh, it is fine. I often see moderators (or a CM) join SOCVR and sometimes I ping them, sometimes I leave a a wild moderator appears message. Only 9 out of 10 leads to a response. Do know there is some weird "bug" in chat that makes that SE staff becomes active when they perform a chat moderation action or handle a flag (for example when editing or deleting a chat message).
It depends a bit on culture and person if they feel obliged to respond to every greeting. I personally don't see it as impolite to not respond in an online setting. And I don't expect a response to every ping I send to another user.
So to sum it up. No, you didn't break code of conduct, as a matter of fact, I think you handled that in the spirit of the code of conduct: be nice and welcoming to users that might be new to the room.
It doesn't matter who or what they are. Users, flower, moderator, room owner, CM or other SE staff. I would say: well done and keep it up.

@rene I don't expect either. And I am not saying it's impolite. All I was thinking if my way of talking was rude or something. BTW Thanks for responding :)

@rene pretty sure you mean 1 out of 10
@TheLittleNaruto what the others said. TL;DR: it's all good, you didn't break anything and didn't do any mistake. :)
CM might have joined the room by mistake, e.g. clicking some link somewhere, and was too busy to stay.
@Maveňツ who you suggest? ;)
