1:33 AM
~ Can't we be a bit moar talkative?

2 hours later…
4:29 AM
morning

4 hours later…
8:29 AM
~ The Shadow

8:46 AM
@RaisingthePraisingAgent hola

@ShadowWizard spain (?)

@Kaushik morn

@ShadowWizard bright (?)

@EKons congrats

@ShadowWizard house (?)

9:03 AM
Errr

baby eval "@TheLittleNaruto">"@Shadow"

@ShadowWizard true

See? You're bigger than me. :D

:D
No I am not.
baby Am I bigger than Shadow ?

@TheLittleNaruto Yes, absolutely

9:04 AM
@Dro How many you could solve yesterday ?
wtf baby

not in age

baby eval "@ShadowWizard" > "@Kaushik"

@Kaushik true

@TheLittleNaruto lol, I forgot man, didn't wake up only

9:05 AM
baby Did you forget you're my pet ?

@TheLittleNaruto Probably

Sleepy @Dro

@DroidDev I could solve first problem in 10 minutes, while for others I slept in between

lel
I seriously forgot that contest was there. Was awake until 4am and next afternoon, it just clicked

baby eval "1"+"1"

9:07 AM
@ShadowWizard "11"

I had a confusion and hence didn't solve this problem @Dro :

baby eval "a".charCodeAt(0)

@ShadowWizard 97

Check the output of example.

baby eval "🐱".charCodeAt(0)

9:08 AM
@ShadowWizard 55357

@TheLittleNaruto you gotta return the number of sub-arrays, that got elements with sum "S"
can be solved in n^2 easily

@DroidDev I know.

finding order of n will be the trick here

@DroidDev That's binary value

9:09 AM
baby eval String.fromCharCode(55358)
:(

@TheLittleNaruto what binary value? where?

@DroidDev damn it! That's why we should not appear for contest while sleeping.

:P

Thanks

lol, anytime :)

9:10 AM
baby eval yourself

@ShadowWizard That didn't make much sense. Maybe you meant: eval
@ShadowWizard "ReferenceError: yourself is not defined"
2

nope, evail

~ Not everything is star-worthy...

Priceless

9:11 AM
~ Stars get removed under peer-pressure?

hmm... but why it didn't work before?
baby eval String.fromCharCode(55359)
baby eval String.fromCharCode

@ShadowWizard "function String() { [native code] }"

@ShadowWizard evail != eval

@ShadowWizard "function fromCharCode() { [native code] }"

@TheLittleNaruto first question can be easily solved using a set
just decode the email address, put it in set, and count of set is your answer

9:12 AM
@TheLittleNaruto no I mean why it ignores fromCharCode command

how did you do it?

baby eval typeof String.fromCharCode

@ShadowWizard "function"

@ShadowWizard That I don't know. It should work as JS works

exactly what I was thinking
@TheLittleNaruto the other question can be done in one pass. Using another array, which will store the indeces of ones. We will keep adding new indeces until we reach the sum. After that, we'll update the count variable, remove the first element of array, and search for next one. Once we got that, again previous step will be repeated.

9:17 AM
baby eval var s = String.fromCharCode(55360); s;

length of array will be equal to S
I think we can improve it further
or do it without array as well
...and @TheLittleNaruto third question is straight from hell. Its satan's work, no doubt about it
4th question is not understandable only. LOL

@Dro @The what is this context you keep talking about in recent weeks? Why isn't @berserk also part?
And @Kaushik?

9:32 AM
@ShadowWizard oh...you mean like above conversation?

If there's prize of $$$, I want a share too! :P
@DroidDev yup

@ShadowWizard finnish (?)

@FOX9000 finish

@ShadowWizard 10th (?)

huh? lol
>>islink finish 10th

9:32 AM
@ShadowWizard No, that's not a link.

So weird....

@ShadowWizard lol, in India, if you want to increase your package to more than two million INR annually, you need to have good knowledge of Data Structures and algorithms. We are actually targeting that kind of or more payscale. I have seen people earning 7.5 million INR as a developers only (annually). But, at starting, you'll get nearly 2 mills.
So, we are preparing for Data structures and algorithms. Like searching, sorting, graphs, trees, solving problems on these things etc
there are various online sites, who have lots of problems on same topics, where you can solve and practice in language of your choice.
Those are the sites, we mostly refer in our conversations here
and they hold weekly contests, just for the sake of practice and all
you can also get jobs through those sites
also, @ber is a part of it, or we want him to be a part of it. Its just that he isn't/don't want to be, very active in these problem solving things (at-least I haven't seen it)
Dunno, if he's secretly practicing.
if you consider USD, these salaries are nothing. But, in India, you can literally live more than a decent life

Thanks, good to know, @Dro. :)

@ShadowWizard anytimes :)

No associated word found for anytimes.

9:45 AM
BTW, @ber doesn't ping @berserk anymore since his last visit was 5 days ago. :(
> last seen 5d ago

also, if you want to participate (now that you know the context), you're always welcome :)

Only @berserk pings @ber now.

@ShadowWizard hence my thinking that he doesn't seem interested

Maybe @berserk is just busy...
Maybe enough pings will wake @berserk up... :D
@DroidDev oh it's for people outside India too?
Thought it's something like the USA-only contests (with prizes) SE offers these days.

@ShadowWizard yes, why not. You can target the same kind of companies anywhere in world. These are just the companies that are looking for all the roles (eg backend developers, android developers, full-stack developers etc), but with the knowledge of DS and algos

10:47 AM
@DroidDev Can you explain with an example ?
@ShadowWizard It's for whole world not just for Indians so you can also participate. Companies all around the globe keeping an eye on these contests and target the top performers.

1 hour later…
11:48 AM
~ The Wizard of Oz on Ice

@TheLittleNaruto just imagine the given example in question only. Imagine the bolded values being kept in a queue. Everytime the size of queue reaches S, we poll from queue, and increment count variable. Next time we reach another 1, we offer it to queue, increment count, poll from queue.
I am just not able to focus enough on this problem to think. Otherwise, I am sure it can be done without queue as well

@DroidDev In that case, the example has 3 1's. So the count will be 3 based on what we're doing. and is not the answer.
Or did I not understand what you said ?

12:15 PM
@TheLittleNaruto truer words have never been said. Just imagine a sliding window in the array man. We have to keep the size equals to S

1:10 PM
@DroidDev We're going to get JBL Go 2 as Diwali gift from company :D
Yay \o/

1 hour later…
2:10 PM

congrats btw

4:59 PM
@DroidDev LMAO sorry bro

@TheLittleNaruto no sorry, you will be punished

@DroidDev Thanks for kind punishment
Checking..

@TheLittleNaruto don't thank me before checking.

Alright
