Q: Please give us Meta back!

Patrick HofmanIt used to be so quiet here, a nice place where users understanding the basics of the SE network of sites discussed important matters, made wonderful feature requests and sometimes even filed a bug report. Nowadays, MSE is filled again with programming questions, as in the old days. Since the 1-...

Noon after @TIP
@TIPS nah, it's not that. I think it's coming from a different place, of being clean and organised person. E.g. I believe @Pat is the kind of person who sorts his underwear by color in the drawer... :-D
So to him, those off topic question are corrupting poor MSE... ;)
> Bisexual or perfect flowers have both male (androecium) and female (gynoecium) reproductive structures, including stamens and an ovary. Flowers that contain both androecium and gynoecium are called hermaphroditic.
Examples of plants with perfect or bisexual flowers include the lily, rose, and most plants with large showy flowers, though a perfect flower does not have to have petals or sepals. A complete flower is a perfect flower with petals and sepals.
guess you were right!
(was sure for some reason "bisexual" is reserved for humans.... ;))

Q: Bounty Bonanza impact

VinceFirst, Congrats to @mts who won the 5 Year Bounty Bonanza with 24 offered bounties. And congrats to all who gave a grand total of 157 bounties in June. Here I added some stats (from data.SE) on the site showing the increase in participation on the month of June, please add/edit some stats as yo...

lol
Bot knows secrets :P

12:31 PM
@JoErNanO nice! So it is over?

@ShadowWizard Yup. One full month.

@JoErNanO full moon? 🌛

@Joe go edit the tagline out of that answer to "do Netherland trains have WiFi" post.

Tagline?

Tangentline?

12:42 PM
@TIPS Which tagline?
Tanline?

Tagline. An answer has a link that might look like spam and is unnecessary.
Taglines are stuff like salutations and hi's and bye's.

@TIPS never heard of that... :/

@TIPS Flagged it as spam. You should do the sime.

@JoErNanO It does attempt to answer the question, and if you edit the link out, no harm is done.
Unless it's plagiarism, I didn't check.
@ShadowWizard WHAT?!

Q: Should 'Hi', 'thanks', taglines, and salutations be removed from posts?

GEOCHETI edit a lot of posts every day. I often run across posts with 'Hi' and 'Thanks' on the top and the bottom of the post respectively. I also run across things like: --User Should these items be removed during the editing of the post by an editor?

Actually, we generalized the term to stand for all of that noise in posts.

@TIPS I see it as spam rather than a tentative answer. No mercy for people who register with the sole purpose of pushing their website.

12:51 PM
Whatever man, I'm going by the standard protocol.

@TIPS Go ahead. :)

PSA: the bot cannot run 24/7 for the next two months. Expect it back at full capacity at the end of August or the beginning of September.

5:52 PM
@ProgramFOX problems with the cloud account? And does it mean back to before the cloud, i.e. bot is here only when you're here?

6:44 PM
@ShadowWizard No problems with it, but because I'm going to buy my own cloud in August/September, there's no need to borrow someone else's cloud anymore. And yes it means it will be back like before the cloud (for 1-2 months), but not entirely because I might be on vacation for a few periods of time so that will mean less bot time overall.

2 hours later…
8:20 PM
@ProgramFOX congrats! But I don't understand why you don't keep borrowing the cloud until having your own, meaning why this 1-2 months of "grace period"?
No big deal, WAG was pretty... slow.. in the recent months, but as you saw today it still getting "bursts" of activity. :)
