Let me give example

once, I had to open chat screen from notification

but, darn, it can't be opened without opening screen where users were listed

because, I had to fetch user's list, then channel for chat, only then, I could open chat

what I did was to send an extra in pending intent with name "HAVE_TO_START_CHAT" as "true"(every value was string, just wrote like that for ease of understanging)

after that, if I sent that true, then after my asynctask, which listed all the users

I opened chat for that particular user

@SilentKiller you are not getting my point. You want to open a fragment or two or three, that doesn't matter, if you(your activity) don't know that. So, you've gotta tell your activity somehow
