@ShadowTheSpringWizard No, it was worse a few years ago, when they tried getting rid of Meta. No need to mention names, but there's a few obvious ones, that I'm happy are no longer working for SE.

@Andreasdetestscensorship not really. Now they might appear good, but making terrible decisions, one after the other, without ever learning or listening, and throw money away on useless projects. Enough of those horrible changes, and I would prefer Meta to be closed.

Using a non-generative version of GPT to enhance search results would be incredible to see. Imagine an algorithm that's able to actually interpret the page content and search query

That doesn't make it a bad use of AI, if companies actually used stuff sanely

@ZoestandswithUkraine pointless, new users are like kids, they get excited from something new and shiny, then after a short while ditch it in favor of the next new and shiny thing.

They don't care if it's pretty or ugly. But whatever artificial raise there was during the testing, it won't last.
