Both answers are valid. You keep the Symfony in as a library and just set up symlinks to everything. That way you can update the framework without destroying or mucking with your setup. So you can either create a symlink to the web folder for the images, or just set them up in the VirtualHost.

I appreciate your input though.
The app I'm making supplements Stack2RSS - and will (hopefully) be a benefit to the Ubuntu SE.
Either way, I like the MVC pattern... this is the first time I've worked with it.
