I tried logging in with an incorrect password on purpose and I don't see a link that says "reset your password" (see i.stack.imgur.com/fygIM.png). Perhaps you meant that you clicked "Forgot password?"? Either way, I suggest going to the contact page and submitting the contact form. Maybe something is off with your account: meta.stackexchange.com/contactCave Johnson 27 secs ago

Do you have to reset your password every single time you try to log in? If so, I would suggest making a very simple password that passes the minimum password requirements, log out, then log back in and type it in manually to eliminate variables associated with copying from a text document. On the other hand, if you can log in successfully sometimes, and sometimes not, that could mean your computer is compromised. — Cave Johnson 41 secs ago

@user1345541 If there is raw text to copy, why upload an image? Your argument defeats itself. We're talking about functionality you can make use of but you must not. If raw text is more accessible than an image why won't you use it? The fix here is to add OCR which is not yet available. — hakre 56 secs ago

@hakre "If there is raw text to copy, why upload an image?" how exactly do you have an image of text without the text? Sure, it's possible that you got the image from somebody else and don't have the text it originated from, however, how often exactly does that happen for people who post questions with images of text in them on the network? Because, I suspect it happens almost never. Usually the text I've seen in a screenshot is from something the question asker is working on anyway. — VLAZ 25 secs ago
[ Boson light ] New comment posted by The Amplitwist
@VLAZ It is possible to have raw text that contains lots of mathematical notation, which may not be completely straightforward to copy and paste. I don't know whether OCR+AI can help here, I'm just pointing out one case outside of coding/SO, where one often sees questions on Mathematics SE with screenshots of text. — The Amplitwist 44 secs ago

@Kyle I suspect the issue is with the way you copy and paste the password from the file. If you're using some software for opening that file, copying might also copy special characters which aren't visible, but visible to the server when pasting, making it wrong. Try to open the file in Notepad or other plain editor and copy from there. — Shadow The Spring Wizard 59 secs ago

I think this question is better asked on the meta of cstheory.meta.stackexchange.com because some communities have specific guidance on "follow-up" or near-identicial questions. The folks on the per-site meta are better equipped to give you a tailored answer. Here on MSE we can only give general guidance that might not be the best for your specific question. — rene 20 secs ago
[ Boson light ] New comment posted by Makyen
What are you really asking here? You've tagged this as both discussion and support neither of which seem appropriate. As a support question your question would be read as something like "As a user of this site, is there any way for me to change the source code process or force the developers to do X?" The obvious answer to that is "No". It's so obvious that it seems nonsensical to ask as a support. — Makyen 8 secs ago
[ Boson light ] New comment posted by Makyen
As a discussion, this question would be something like "Given the entire development process that SE uses, is it possible to establish a part of the process such that no untranslatable strings are permitted in the code?" This, again, seems very strange to be asking, because it really is asking users here to speculate on SE's development process and what changes might be able to be made to it. It's really not a productive discussion to have here without substantially more visibility into SE's development process. — Makyen 7 secs ago
[ Boson light ] New comment posted by Makyen
On the other hand, something similar to this as a feature-request asking SE to establish, as a part of the development process, checks to ensure that the code (or at least new code) doesn't have strings which are untranslatable. Such a feature request would actually be useful. — Makyen 10 secs ago
