When I created the room called Martin's temporary room, I thought that it will only be needed for a short time - and after it fulfilled its purpose, I let it freeze.
Maybe I was wrong.
Hi Martin, I received your ping in your chatroom, thank you for that :) however, I’m on a break from SE chat, and can’t reply there, terribly sorry. (Hope it was alright to ping you under this answer here.) Since my initial guess was way off — the bookmark icon seems to have never been there — perhaps I can remove my comments there? — The Amplitwist 11 mins ago
Sorry, I did not notice that. We can switch to comments if chat is not a suitable option. However, my guess would be that you can still chat on chat.meta.stackexchange.com chatserver. Would that work for you? — Martin Sleziak 22 secs ago
This is maybe intended as a continuation of this: chat.stackexchange.com/transcript/19138/2022/3/5
But I'd guess that it's quite possible that we'll just agree that the things already said in the comments cover the situation sufficiently enough - and that probably there isn't much left for further discussion.
You suggested deleting your comment.
I suppose you mean deleting this one:
My guess is that the bookmark icon was removed when the review queues were revamped last year. The mockup of the new design in Visual design changes to the review queues does not show the bookmark icon. In that post it is also mentioned, "All review queues will be adopting a new user interface that focuses on providing reviewers with context to make deliberate, thoughtful decisions on review tasks." — The Amplitwist 14 hours ago
I'd guess it won't do any harm if the comment stays. (But perhaps it can be deleted.)
But I would definitely think that the comment suggesting to post a feature request on Meta Stack Exchange is worth keeping:
My searches on Meta Stack Exchange did not turn up any related posts. It may be worth posting a feature request there :) (And, perhaps the support tag is more appropriate here?) — The Amplitwist 14 hours ago
Oh yes, chat.meta.stackexchange.com would work fine for me, for such kind of discussions :) I would be happy to take our conversation there. — The Amplitwist 4 mins ago
@TheAmplitwist Feel free to ping me in the linked room if/when you have time. (I suppose that we could removed the comments posted here after that - they were basically just a discussion whether we can chat somewhere - and aren't relly related to this particular post.) — Martin Sleziak 10 secs ago
No no, I totally missed that you had linked to your room on the other chat server. So, good that you pinged me once more. I’ll remove these chatty comments now, and this last one a bit later. — The Amplitwist 3 mins ago
I have deleted my comments which were basically just about the suggestion to use a different chatserver.
@TheAmplitwist I have created a somewhat similar room before. (A different user, but the same reason.) But it is now frozen.
I might try to keep this one alive a bit longer. (If you wish, I can add you as one of the room owners. And the room topic can be changed - if you want the room name to indicate in some way that users who want to discuss things with you in chat might find you here sometimes.)

Hi @Martin, I have also deleted the last of my comments regarding shifting the conversation here.

Although probably you're not that keen on chatting.... Only now I noticed that this is written in your chat profile: "Note: My account has been suspended from chat upon my own request."
Thanks for deleting the comment.

Q: Favoriting / bookmarking a question while working the Close Queue?

JonathanZ supports MonicaCIs there a way to favorite / bookmark when you encounter it in the Close Queue? I didn't see the little bookmark icon under the vote count widget (but then I frequently miss elements in the math.se interface). I was using the mobile site on Firefox for Android, if that makes a difference. Also, m...

Concerning this post, I am not sure whether there is much to add to what we already said in comments and in chat.
Basically, it's not up to the OP whether they decide to post a feature request on Meta Stack Exchange.

@Martin yes, I decided that I would keep chat interactions on the chat.SE server to an absolute minimum. So far, I have not found much need for creating a space for myself on this chat server. So, let’s keep this room as it is (i.e. no need to add me as an owner, etc.).

No problem with that. I'll try to keep this room from freezing at least for some time. (At least a month.)

@Martin quite right. I am mildly surprised, though, that more folks haven’t found the need for bookmarking posts directly from the review queues. Especially since the “follow” feature is relatively new.

If you sometimes need to use chat - and you'll decide to use chat.meta.stackexchange.com - feel free to use this room if you want. Or to create a new room, if that's a better option.
@TheAmplitwist Well, it's still possible that there are other feature requests that we haven't found.
As I said, this one did not get much attention at the time: Can't favorite a question under beta review system

8:01 AM
But now that the “follow” feature is there, I suspect that the need for bookmarking directly from the review queues has reduced even further, since (for instance) JonathanZ’s use case is covered by it.
@Martin True, Meta is vast, and we may very well have missed something (as I just did, in fact).

Although if we rely on tags, I do not see other posts elsewhere on Stack Exchange.
Of course, somebody might posted something similar with a different set of tugs.
Re: I am mildly surprised, though, that more folks haven’t found the need for bookmarking posts directly from the review
Many people have different ways how they interact with SE sites. For example, I did not really felt a need to have something like this.
Maybe that's because I'm not really that active in the review queues.

@Martin Indeed, I tried the same search on stackexchange.com, and then realized I’ll need to be more creative since per-site metas may not follow the same tagging system.
@Martin right…
@Martin thank you for the option, btw :) I might take you up on it, but I can’t say for sure at the moment

I have tried a few similar searches. Using the phrases that came up to my mind, I did not find other posts related to this.
@TheAmplitwist Well, that's not really a problem. Even if it turns out that this room isn't really needed, it won't hurt anybody if it stays around for a few weeks.

@Martin That’s great, then 👍🏼

I'd guess that concerning the question on Mathematics Meta, there isn't that much more to discuss. Now it's up to the OP what he decides to do next. (Whether they feel about this strongly about to post a feature request on Meta Stack Exchange.)

8:10 AM
Agreed. My guess is they might not post to Meta SE (which is completely fine, of course).
Thanks for this conversation :) Have a nice day!

Have a nice day, too! See you later!
