I've seen lots of people come with intention to stick around, making lots of activity for days, weeks, even months, then..... disappear.
It's totally expected, aka in two words: real life.
One can't avoid it.
So when one realize they can't combine real life and the amount of activity they desire in chat, or even SO/SE in general, they cut all the ropes.
You can artificially keep the room alive by placing a bot like Kenny that auto post messages at regular intervals when there's no activity in the room.
But that requires a 24/7 bot, which nobody here got.
Here is a list of things you can ask me: time {timezone} - I'll give you the current time in the timezone. {country} {time} {weekday} - I'll give you each part of the country that currently has that time. riddle - I'll send a random riddle written by my developer as a message. poem - I'll send a random poetic quote from a random person as a message. help - I'll send this message.
@Ann Are you sure we need to follow the exact same policy as that of the Den? I want this chatroom to be more welcoming than that Den. Hmm, I wish Vic were here so that I could ask him if whether he agrees or not.
@Ann thx ;) Now, we really need to formulate an RO policy for our Café. So, a few questions here: 1. If all but one of the ROs consent to appointing a new RO, can that new RO be appointed? 2. If so, how much counts as a majority?
@Ann No, actually, here's the question: How many ROs have to consent in order to be able to appoint a new RO?
